Table camera advice
I used new, not reloaded, new Kodak wedding cameras for my reception (some were regular wedding cameras but most were Kodak) and I can't tell you out of 19 cameras, I have 16, 3 people tooj them home, and I must have about 20 good pics out off all these rolls.I developed 9 rolls so far ($89) and more than half of the pics are dark, far away ****s, pics of floors, empty plates etc. I have 7 more rolls to develop & I am so hesitant to do so.
In my opinion, they are a waste!

Re: Table camera advice
Jen, I'm sorry you didnt get many great shots from the cameras. *HUGS*We lucked out and only one camera was missing and while most of the pictures were dark, there are some great pics of the guests dancing and sitting at the tables that I am glad we have.

Re: Table camera advice
I couldn't agree more. I had 17 table cameras. And I too, bought the good cameras, KODAK MAX. I got all the cameras back but only 7 were finished so I had them developed and unless the pics are close - ups they all came out BAD.The other cameras, will take me forever to use up the film.
I know most of you girls will get them anyway just on the chance that you will get good pics but save yourself some money and don't get doubles and don't pay for good developing!! (like I did)

Re: Table camera advice
I have to be one to disagree.............I relied on my table camera's for my e party pics and to those comming Thurs I will show you how WONDERFUL they came out.
I got WONDERFUL SHOTS and my DJ kep announcing take pics and MY BEst DADDY also walked around snapping SHots..
If I didn't have those pics I wouldn't have had such great photo memories!

Re: Table camera advice
I agree with Ronnie& Theresa. At my best friends wedding she was hesitant about putting the camera's on everyone's tables for the fear of them being a waste of money. As MOH I volunteered to pay for the pictures to be developed and she can't thank me enough. Some of the candid shots came out better than the pics her pricey photographer took!

Re: Table camera advice
Wondering if anyone did the scavenger hunt - & if that helped you to get better/more diverse set of pics off the disposables.

Re: Table camera advice
Jenn, sorry your pics didn't turn out good, but I need to support the table cameras! I was a last minute table camera purchaser and was so glad I did! I have awesome shots of the whole reception and there is at least one picture of everyone at the reception. All mine came out really nice, so I guess it depends maybe on the lighting in the hall and other factors

Re: Table camera advice
I also had a great experience with my cameras. Yes some of the pictures were dark, but most of them came out great and it was so nice to get pictures back the day after the wedding. I agree that doubles are a waste though.

Re: Table camera advice
Another word of advice-Know your guests.
For my situation I know it would be a waste.
My guests could care less about taking pics from those cameras, some would probably bring their own.
If you feel they would be utilized then go for it, if not do not waste your money,

Re: Table camera advice
T, I saw your e pic link & Jericho Terrace was light,if you have an evening function in a low lit room with candles & stuff they are bad.
If you use the cameras at daytime functions oroutside they are good.
If anyone wants to see my table pic album you will see what I mean

Re: Table camera advice
There are some places which develop pictures and only charge you for the ones that you like. I think its In Living Color which does this. There is one in Glen Cove by McDonalds.

Re: Table camera advice
maybe it was b/c we had a lot of light in the room and we had a mini scavenger hunt...but I was so happy to have my table cameras1. they were the first picstures we got to see (that was worth the $170 cost of the cameras and developing)
2. we got lots of pics of guests (I think b/c of the scavenger hunt) and I was able to send almost every guest a picture in their TY...in addition to our TY pic...
3. we told them to be creative and were they ever...here was one guest's interpretation of creative...
I didn't scan these at the best resolution...so they are better in person...

Re: Table camera advice
I'm with you Jenn. Our table camera pictures were very dark and there were only a handful of good shots.Maybe its a daytime vs. nighttime wedding thing.

My SIL ended up not even developing half of hers. She told me not to bother getting them, but I did anyway!

Re: Table camera advice
oh thats too bad they didn't come out better, jenn. i have been debating the whole table camera thing for awhile, but i just saw some really wonderful table camera pictures from a wedding back in april. the bride got some pictures of guests that the photographer did not get. she was so thrilled. however, one camera did disappear!! i think some of the old ladies thought it was a favor!!
