How many of you are native New Yorkers? The reason I ask is...I work with 2 girls who are both from the South. Last week-they were bashing New Yorkers and how rude they are, what horrible drivers, etc. I guess my question is-would you and are you offended when you hear this type of stuff? I think my attitude is-if you don't like it here, then leave!!!

Another native New Yorker here - can't really imagine living anywhere else. I stopped getting offended by people from out of town but simply laugh at their stupidity when they talk about carrying guns or getting mugged.
They usually get the point.

I'm a New Yorker, born and bred, as are my parents (so I'm a second generation NY-er!). I honestly would not, could not live anywhere else, and I can't imagine why anyone would want to!

Native NY girl here!! I actually still live (rent) in the house that my dad owns and grew up in
I LOVE New Yrok and HATE when people put it down(wxcept I hate the winters)
