OK so im gettin married at 5:30 on a friday in october and theRh is at 7:30 so that only leaves a hour to take pics n its going to be dark out already.. So some ppl have said to take pictures be4 the wedding.. My one girlfriend said her sil did it and the set up a whole thing blind folded the grom n set up the wedding party around them then took of the blind fold when the bride was in his sight she said it was so sweet but i dont know how i feel about having him see me be4 the church.... WHAt do u guys think..

I am doing this because I have a medical condition that is complicated by stress and also because I want to enjoy my CH. I have seen pictures where the bride and groom meet before hand and it looks sweet. I have to admit, I am a bit sad he will see me before I walk down the aisle, BUT in the grand scheme of things, this isn't as important as enjoying my wedding day!

Debi and Fred did a reveal at CLM, then took pictures, before the ceremony. Pics were also taken thereafter, and at Captree State Park. Debi liked the reveal, because it helped them shed some nervousness before the ceremony, and allowed them to have a private moment. From a Mom's perspective, which is more on the traditional side, I wished I could have seen their faces close up, when they saw each other for the first time. Also, I noticed in the before pics Debi and Fred are not wearing their wedding rings, which would have been nice. Mary MOB

I'm taking pictures beforehand...but I'm going to ask the photographer to let me and FH have a moment alone before he starts taking pictures. I didn't want FH to see me before the ceremony but we won't have time between the ceremony and the reception - and my mom was like 'he's seen you for 10 years already!' - so that put it in perspective :)

biggest reason why... i dont want a sip of alochol comsumed by anyone in the wedding party till pictures are done!

our ceremony starts at 11:30 and CH at 12 so we are going to do most of the pics before since all the areas we will want to do the pics in will have people all over durring CH and since we are paying all this $$$$$$ for this wedding we want to attend our CH too.

our ceremony starts at 6 at the RH and CH is right after so there's so time in between. i would take pics before the ceremony anyone so that we wont be so nervous.

I'm really torn. What bothers me the most isn't that he will see me before I walk down the aisle but that in all of those pictures we aren't married yet. Is that silly?

I would like to get that initial picture of FH seeing me for the first time b/c in the church I feel like the photographers will only be taking picture of me walking down the aisle. But I know I want to be traditional and we wont see each other until the church

No pics. before for us. We have time in between church and the reception so we'll take all the pics. the so we don's miss any of the CH It is nice to have that reveal pic. though!

we are not taking pictures before. we are getting married at a church at 3 and my cocktail hour doesnt start until 7 so we will plenty of time in between. FH doesnt want to see me before I walk down the aisle.

I have the exact same times of my ceremony but the cocktail hour starts at 8PM. I am a little worried about the time in between but it will work out somehow. We were going to take pics before but FH said later on that he wants to see me walk down the aisle for the first time. So, we are just going to swing this. I want to avoid the line at the church to cut down time but with a very old fashioned family, I don't think that is going to happen. So again, our plan is to finish the church hopefully by 6:15 and get out of there by 6:30 and take pictures and enjoy the cocktail hour. People keep saying that is plenty of time. But, you mentioned October. So, it will be a little dark at that time. It's really your call- if you want to take pics before, then do it. If you feel slightly bothered by the idea, don't. I know it will work out somehow. Maybe you cold push your cocktail hour to 8.

I am going to do the reveal in the chapel before the ceremony. I figure everyone can be in the chapel waiting with FH and I will have my dad bring me in. Kind of like a practice walk. And I want the photographer there to capture it.
Cocktail hour is an hour long. Fh and I will probably take some more photos for the first 20 minutes and then go enjoy with everyone else for a bit.

we did pics before the ceremony and i was so happy that we did!!!
we had a day wedding and it would be impossible to do all the pics after the ceremony.
here are some pics of when my DH and i saw each other.
I love his reaction... so cute

we are having a simliar issue and i think it really depends on what you want to do! i really dont want to see him before hand because i have always pictured walking down the aisle and looking at his surprise and happy face ... i just dont want to miss that ... soooo since we are having a 12:30pm ceremony and 1pm cocktail hour ... we are getting there early and i am taking pictures with the girls and then with just the guys and then he will go and take pictures with the guys and then just the girls so after the ceremony all we really need to take is a couple of all of us and the birdal party and just us! and of course family pics buttt i think this will cut them time in half since we are able to take some before and some right after the ceremony ... its just so hard!!! but i just knew i didnt want to see him!
