Tell me who is your florist and why

I need a florist, they are so many I don't know where to go first. I know I want something modern and striking. Not traditional more trendy. Any leads?

Another Flower Michele bride! For all the same reasons metioned above. John was the first and last florist I met with, I was that comfortable with him.

We also used Murphy & Co. in Bayside, Queens. Our priest recommended them when I asked if he had any suggestions (I had read somewhere that it was good to have someone familiar with the church as well as the reception site) He is friends of the owners and they do all the flowers for his church. They did a beautiful job - I was thrilled with all of it, especially the floral arch they made for my cake topper and the live flowers they added to the cake. You can see my bouquet in my profile pic.

We are using Burton's in Huntington. They weremoer than 50% cheaper than anyone else and their work is great. # of my friends have used them and loved them. One of the best things is that you can pick any flowers you want, from roses to orchids.

I'm using Laskaris and Farrell in Greenlawn. I've used them for flowers that we send at work and his work is just stunning. Anthony is an absolute angel to work with and I can't say enough about his arrangements. Christine1221 used them for her wedding also. He is a bit pricey but he is worth every cent.

I cannot wait until my wedding - everything is going to be stunning.

I just booked Jack and Rose. (Yay!) The reason why I booked them is because they had the best selection, and they are not afraid to try something new. Also, Jack is very experienced, and they supply their own insurance for bad weather, etc.

They are also honest, and that was the most important thing to me. He told me which flowers would hold up & which ones wouldn't (in January), and which ones would match each other, etc. Plus he was not turned off by the fact that I am not having floral centerpieces or flowers at the church. Most other florists rushed through my consult. once they found this out!

Best prices around, caring, loves what he does and just take a look at my wedding flowers!

They were GORGEOUS if I do say so myself!

I am using Burton's because they were honestly 45% cheaper than anyone else I saw. Two of my friends have used them and another is using them this Friday. However with Burton's you need to be more creative. THey will guide you but you have to help them a long. For me, I laread knew the centerpiece I wanted. I went to more expensive florists and got great ideas, then went ot Burton's and showed tham what I wanted. You can also have any flower I want. I am having orchids for the gm's. It was hard for me to spend a lot of $$$ on something that is going to die a week later. I decided to spend $$ on other ways to enhace the party and produce great memories....band and photo.

jack and rose - b/c jakc is awesoem and gave us a DEAL!!! - even a liw discount. we went to about seven others (maybe more i lost count!!) and jack truly loved what he does and truly cared about listening to us - not just selling us a good price...all the flowers he showed us looked great too...
