I think 3 months is the guideline, but if you have already passed that it is probably never too late.

You should really try to get them out within three months, but I think that up to six months is acceptable. I've heard of people sending them out as late as a year, but I personally think that's rude.

As the saying goes...

better late than never. You should definitely try to make the thank yous a priority, but there certainly could be outside factors that have prevented you from getting them done as quickly as the 'guidelines' call for. Doesn`t part of it depend on how quickly you get the photos back from the photographer for the thank yous? Anyway, try to dedicate a few nights where you both sit down together and make it a joint effort. You can share in the memories of your day as you recall who was at your wedding, and you will be getting them done faster than if just one of you did all that work alone. Good Luck!

Our proofs arent in yet but once we pick out the pic were going to use, we are going to get the thank you cards. This way every night we can write out a few thank yous and when the pictures come in, we can just send them right out.
