if a thread is honestly negative and pulled immediately - what's the point of the board
maybe if the negative feedback was allowed - I could have avoided this vendor.

as someone who hasn't booked my photographer yet - i agree with you and thank you for the honesty. you are saving another bride to be a big head (or heart) ache.

You can't come on the boards and say 'Don't Use' - You should give your honest opinion, but be as unbiased as possible. Meaning, rather than saying 'Don't use this vendor' you can say 'Here is what happened with this vendor.'

OK - I will FM you guys tonight (I have a dial up line today) the info is in my profile though -
I tried to make the thread sound as 'matter of fact' as I could. If it came off like don't use this vendor - it is only because, well, I wish I never booked him. I would have liked to go with a different vendor, but I would have lost my deposit. It was too much to just throw away.
Trust me girls - as your wedding gets closer, your stress increases exponentially. I wanted to share my experience thus far - thats all. I also noted that I hope that the vendor can redeem himself with his work. I want nothing more that for that to happen.

Um, sorry, I may be a little dense as it's almost quitting time, but I was able to FM this vendors name. I think maybe your thinking of a different vendor that asked for their info to be bleeped out? That's a different photographer I think from which she originally posted about.

You can write your experiences as long as you don't editorialize. As negative as they may be, if you speak without opinions, you can write what you want. But if what you say in a public forum such as LIW has an impact on their ability to do business, and your claims are not founded, they can sue you for slander or libel.

Um, sorry, I may be a little dense as it's almost quitting time, but I was able to FM this vendors name. I think maybe your thinking of a different vendor that asked for their info to be bleeped out? That's a different photographer I think from which she originally posted about.
No no no-I was not insinuating that this post was referring to 'that vendor' which we all know about...but I have had certain vendors names bleeped from FM's when there was some type of negative review or hot topic posted. I thought that since the original post was pulled, there was some controversy going in leading me to believe that the FM was not going to contain the vendors name...
