The Bachelor Party

The Bachelor Party

So, I am really worried about my fiance's bachelor party. I COMPLETELY trust my fiance but I don't trust his friends or his brothers.

I'm so worried that they will pour alcohol down his throat to the point where he has no idea what is going on. I've heard them talk about going away for the weekend and having strippers!

I'm also scared since one of my fiance's other friends got married in November 2003 and for his bachelor party, some of the very same guys tried to get my fiance's friend to sleep with the stripper!

I've talked to my sweetie about what I think is inappropriate (strippers touching him, him touching strippers) and he assures me that he's never been into that and doesn't want that at his party.

But that still doesn't stop the icky feeling in the pit of my belly!

How are all of you dealing with this?

I am okay with the bacelor party. My FH is going to Las Vegas. I think if you trust him completely, you have nothing to worry about. Remember you will have your night too!

My night consists of going to the spa with the girls, getting massages, manicures and pedicures and then eating a yummy lunch!

I just don't trust his friends....

Noone will tell me anything - of course. I was talking to the fiancee of one of my sweetie's trustworthy friends. She told me that the guys were starting to plan it and that those plans involved going away and some nasty raunchy stuff.

She also told me that her fiance (my sweetie's friend) knows my sweetie and how he doesn't like that kind of stuff. He's going to do everything he can to make sure the guys don't plan anything that Michael doesn't want.

So, that gives me some reassurance - but still the pit in my stomach.

Alright , well at least someone is looking out for you. i really think that the bachelor party should be about what your FH wants to do. It sounds like his friends just want a nasty weekend away, which is ridiculous. When it is their turn, they can do what they want. Just make sure that you know where they are going, for your own peace of mind. BTW-we are getting married at same church!

I feel the same way you do. My fh just went to his brothers bachelor party and he said that the boys at the bachelor party bought him 4 private lap dances. Like yourself, I completely trust my fh, but I can't help the horrible feeling in the pit of my stomach. I think that I am a little ridiculous though, I was crying to him when he came back from his brothers party. Of course, he reassures me that everything will be ok, but it just makes me sick. We are not getting married for another 3 mos, but I am already thinking about it!!!!! I just have to get over it.

FH is the last of his crew to get married. I know his bachelor party will be a good one. I know he will get drunk. I know he will do something very stupid. But I also know that FH has a lot of integrity. He would not do something to jeopardize our relationship. My brother and brother in law will more than likely take part in all festivities. They would kill him if he did anything to compromise my trust. That being said...I think we all have to have an element of trust and even at times, close our eyes. Whatever happens will happen. Have faith in your man and your relationship.

He also knows that men hit on me and the opportunities for betrayal on my part are passed up on a regular basis.

Insist that your dad or brother go. Thats what I'm going to do...its a male wedding trip.

I am really not sweating it. FH has no intention of getting really drunk, and I should be nervous....his BM is a little crazy!

I trust that he isn't going to be stupid, just like I'm not.

Re: The Bachelor Party

Im with you. Being that i have bartended during bachelor parties(in a private bar) i have seen what is done. ANd it makes me want to throw up. Of course they go right for the bachelor and you dont even want to know the things that went on. and of course i guy has to be tough in front of his friends and touch the girls back, but even if his hand didnt move, they did enough touching and grinding to make me never get married.
Im scared...

my advice for you is forget about his an focus on yours. make your more exciting, yours more crazy so he will be worried about yours not the other way around. i planned mine for vegas and am taking 16 people, he has to stay home and wonder about me. i have no worries about his at all! reverse psychology!

Re: The Bachelor Party

You say you trust him leave it at that. I told my fiance that there are no holds barred for either of our parties. He can do whatever he wants. No matter what your FH's friends want, they cannot make him do anything he doesn't want to do...remember that.

If you trust him, let it go.

its one night, you are marrying the man so you must trust him. no one is going to make him do something that he doesnt want to do. just let him have a good time and enjoy yours. most of the time its the other people that act worse at those things.

I think that you and him need to sit down and really really discuss what each of you is comfortable with the other doing. I think Bachelor/ette parties with a few ground rules before hand are much better off. Rule #1 for me would be that I HAVE to know what all the plans are in advance. Not down to the last detail, but you should generally know what your FH will be doing.... DH and I keep no secrets from each other - so I would expect to know what the plans are and I wouldn't accept any less.

Ok, why are you dreading it. It sounds to me like you DONT really trust your FH. If you did, there would be no problem.

DH's friends had a great time at his, DH did not attend..I felt like it would get out of hand, DH suggested he not go, I did not push him out the door that is for sure...I don't think it is about trusting or not trusting. Her FH has never been to his own bachalor party, it is new territory..and brides have enough stress going through their heads already
