Re: The boycotting dyeables thread
All my girls got any shoe they wanted and dyed them the same color, but can always dye them black which i know 2 of them are doing, I think it is wrong to make them wear the same shoe, but dont see anything wrong with getting them dyed.

Re: The boycotting dyeables thread
I was going to have my girls dye to match but then changed my mind to have them wear silver so they can at least wear them again.
Just know one thing - not everything goes with silver or gold either. Some brides pick some very obscure colors for their BPs and the only choice they have may be to have them wear dyables. What is one bride's pet peeve is another bride's only hope/choice. I for one, do not care for many things that a lot of brides here adore, but I try to spare someone's feelings whenever I can.

Re: The boycotting dyeables thread
My girls wore silver strappy sandals with their pink dresses.
However, I would never dream of making fun of someone elses choices. If a bride wants their BP to wear them, thats their choice.

Re: The boycotting dyeables thread
My BM dresses are Eggplant with Ivory accent ribbons and my girls all wanted to go with Ivory shoes. They are long gowns so it's fine with me. I understand dyeables for certain colors. Honestly, some of my girls wouldn't wear silver strappy sandles again anyway so it doens't matter. I want them to be able to use them again but they all tell me to stop worrying about it and go with what I want- they'll deal (I love them!) and I have 8 girls all telling me this!! One BM said that in the rain and snow the dye can come off too...ivory it is for my BP!
To each their own- when you agree to be a BM you agree to buying all sorts of stuff that might not be used again anyway! I'm just glad that their dresses are 135!

what's harsh about expressing your opinion? you, goldi, of all people, should understand this.

Re: The boycotting dyeables thread
Meh, I understand where y'all are coming from but my girls wore wine colored dresses. Black shoes would have looked weird and I thought it would just be simpler to have all the girls wearing the same color shoe. The dying was free the shoes were $40.

I agree and I understand. There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with stating an opinion at all. Had a question been posed or a thread started as 'What do you think of dyeables?' or 'Can I have your opinions on dyeable shoes?' then by all means, everyone has the right to state their opinions no matter how harsh they may be. Every single opinion and thought is valid. However, in my opinion, regardless of what I plan to do for my own bridal party (and I stated that I DID change from the idea of dyables to silver for practical purposes in a previous post) , it seemed harsh to me to imply that a bride's potential choice for HER BP is presented with an air of negativity right from the beginning. Thats all I wanted to say.
