I think they are renovating the men's bathroom this February while they are closed.
i don't know...i just remember susan telling me that they close every feb. for renovations. good luck!

i'm planning to call susan within the next few days to schedule an appointment to drop off my 6 month deposit. i'll let you know if i find anything out.
i'm hoping to go there the first weekend in march and i told my dad he has to come to take pics of the new men's bathroom! (my FH won't be able to come to NY with me this time.)

Hi 2006 Carltun Brides,
You inspired me to start a 2007 Carltun Brides Thread. Please join us anytime...
I went to the Carltun yesterday, I was waiting so I walked around....the whole ballroom floor is ripped off....it looks like a big construction zone....they will finish by mid March.....at least we will have a new floor for our weddings....they are also doing some painting and refinishing the floor in the CH room......They are not doing the men's bathroom downstairs which is kind of yucky........
I made my final appointment for March 19 to do my menu, linens and talk about the cake.....it will be 2 hours...can't wait...we will also do our food tasting pretty soon.....
I can't believe I will be partying at the Carltun in 89 days....

Wow.. I didn't even know that they were doing the floors in the ballroom. I am very excited about the new floors.

Went to the Carltun yesterday for my tasting and it was better than I expected.
They gave us two salads to try, Filet Mignon, Chicken, Sea Bass and Salmon followed by the best chocolate cake and coffee...
it was fabulous...the presentation and portions....
The Filet Mignon was a very decent size...which I was a little surprised....it was like eating at a 5 star restaurant in the city.......
we have nothing to fear!!!!
they also finished the floor which looks amazing....

i actually went to he carltun yesterday because i am going for my flowers today, so i wanted to see everything again. from what i saw, the floors look great! (they were also set up for a party for 400 people, so there was not much room to see the floor!) They are also thinking of putting like a carltun monogram in the middle of the dance floor, but they have not chosen one yet....but it still looked amazing!

Have you selected your menu and stations yet? If so, which did you choose? Are you doing dessert hour or the plated desserts? I dont know which to choose?
