The DeSeversky Center

Original post by Brooklynbride

My FMI has been telling me about the DeSeversky Center. I already took a look at the website, but I am wondering about it. I would like information on it . I have not read any recent (past year) reviews about the place on this
site. Can anyone provide me with any information you have: I really appreciate it

PS 12/01/2007
I went to the Center and took photos. The place is absolutely beautiful!!!! We fell in love with it : )

I had my reception at the deSeversky in December and it was fabulous! Everything there was fantastic!!! You will not be dissappointed. The food was delicious [my husband and are a definitely food snobs] and the bakery that they recommend, Leonetti's was phenomenal! Everyone is still talking about the cake! If you have any specific questions about the deSeversky FM me.
Congrats to you all and good luck!

The grounds are beautiful. It's one of the 1st place I looked at. The only problem was, there was not enough room to for the amount of tables needed and a large enough dance floor. The wanted to break it up into too many rooms. If you are having 150 and under it's perfect.

Absoulutely!!!! I agree!! We choose De Seversky because our guest list is below 130, but any larger and DeSeversky is not the place for you : ) My fiance and I wanted a place that would allow our wedding to feel like an intimate affair. We wanted our guest to feel like they were going to someone's home. I also wanted a place where there is only one weddig at a time. Many places we looked at either had one or non of our requirements. We got lucky with DeSeversky!!! Plus, we get to spend the night there. They rent the bridal suite for the night. The bridal suite and attached bathroom are absolutely huge!!!! So, instead of leaving for a hotel, you get to stay there for the night and they will serve you breakfast in the morning. However, all night you are there by yourself in that whole mansion (with no cameras ---I wonder what we can due around the mansion if we are not too tired ....hmmmm!!!!

Here are photos of the bridal suite......

DH and I went to a wedding there about a year ago, and it was fabulous. Such a nice mansion, in great condition too, and I remember the food being really good

I am getting married at DeSeversky this August, I just had my finals with Anthony Baffo, he is the manager there and is AMAZING!! I was able to get a great deal since I am getting married on a Sunday Afternoon so I am only paying $115 pp with a guarantee of 100. And if they don't have another party booked after yours if you book an afternoon, they let you push back the start date a few hours...so now my ceremony is starting at 1:30 and my reception will end by 7pm. I am so excited, its great to hear such great reviews from other brides as well!!
