The Girlfriends' Guide to Pregnancy

Just wanted to share - my sister sent this book to me last week - it is hyserical!

I have What to Expect which is great, but it definitely lacks a bit of humor sometimes

The Girlfriends' Guide is knowledgeable but in such a funny way....it makes reading about weight gain and Lord knows what else much more fun!

I bought this book for 2 friends and they both loved it--I am hoping to borrow it when my MOH is finished!!!

Loved this book- it cracked me up. My friend sent me Diary of a Mad Mom to Be- same characters as Diary of a Mad Bride. Cute too. Give it a try as well. (this is fiction though)

I gave this to my girlfriend but I never knew if she liked it or not. I want to give to another friend who is newly pregnant too!

I loved that book she also has a couple of other books too

The girlfriends guide to surviving the first year of motherhood.

The girlfriends guide to toddlers

The girlfriends guide to getting your groove back.

The girlfriends guide to baby gear.

The girlfriends guide to parties and playdates.

You need a sense of humor when you become a mother

Yes, this one is definitely not too medical....(it does explain procedures, pretnatal testing, etc but not advice) but it cracks me up

My GF gave me this book, I have not read it yet. You are the 2nd person I have heard say it was good. I guess when I can relate I will pick it up. All these people are giving me preggo books

Would you recommend the Girlfriend's book over What to Expect when Expecting? I have the latter and I keep falling asleep while reading it.

Actually, I'd recommend reading both at the same time. Girlfriends is by no means a medically informative book, so you really don't learn TOO many objective opinions/current trends with diet, etc. That's what's great about What to Expect, but as my sister pointed out, even the drawing of the woman on the cover looks like she's suicidal!!

Girlfriends a book about what the drs don't tell you but in a funny way....about weight gain, pregancy insanity, hemmoroids and other pleasant topics!
