ITS REAL BAD, seriously they just fight and nobody can say anything...If any girl goes on there and complains about anything for example about a bm not doing something or anything close to that you will get ripped apart. You can't say you like anything princess like they have a name for people like that it's called a beebee, if you're too excited about your wedding they say things lol.

I never even said any of those things and all these girls just came in one time in a thread i had just posted in and all they did was attack how i looked, they said how fake my boobs looked-MEANWHILE THEY'RE real, and some girls actually said yeah i can tell they're real...So when that was done with they were like well how fake are your lips and again they're real, then they went on about my nails and again those are real lol...Then talking about fh and how he dresses and looks lol, these were all people who didn't live in NY and to them NY styles are a bit outrageous...And everytime they saw me in threads they would say something lol, which is pretty pathetic.

don't take it personally.... I've noticed there is a minority of people in other parts of the US resent NY'ers. They basically hate all of us. I have no idea what damage they have in their lives that erupted into such hate, but it's there, and they are inexplicably PROUD of it.... and maintain a sense of elitism. All they need as a motivation to be really rude to you is a suspicion that you live in the NY metro area... They'd do the same thing to anyone of us!

I never go on the boards there, I only look at the wedding bios for ideas, and you can get some great ideas. Not everyone has a lot of money or had some ridiculous wedding. In fact, I bet most people here on the LIW board are spending more money on their wedding than most people on the Knot, if only because it's SO expensive to have a wedding on Long Island. And then there was whole thing the other day about open bars vs cash bars--most other places in the country don't have open bars, they think it's too much money. I guess if you're paying $20 a plate for dinner, the price of an open bar seems like a lot, but at the price we're paying, it's not big deal. I'm not sure you could have a dessert-only reception on Long Island for $20 a plate, the site fees alone would be higher than that.

YES!!! people on LIW do have more expensive weddings than those on the knot. I was floored when soooo many people wrote how much pp they are spending...Some where $15pp, 20 pp, 30something pp...it was VERY common. and there were quite a few that did cash bars and the only time i heard of a dessert reception was on the knot.

OMG Denise that is terrible!! I would have been so pissed!! Who are they to comment on you and FH's looks?? That's truly bizzare...People get so jealous!!

They do it to alot of people...What really just made me had enough on those boards was when they kept talking about how ugly one persons baby was...I don't care what the girls situation was, they said something about drugs or whatever but that was crossing the line...They would constantly say things about this baby, and oh yeah we'll see how long a drug addicted baby will live, and how the baby looks sick and ugly, i dont even think the babys mother was on drugs but i was disgusted by that...I don't care what you think of the mother, the baby is innocent and that was horrible.

Plus one girl they bothered all the time and there was a big thing about it bc her FH came on and said something too...He had cancer and they said things about that to him, like mean things...I couldn't believe it, i was seriously shocked...I was just like this is going toooooo far.

you should feel flattered though! You obviously look good enough naturally to be the plastic surgery 'after' shot....

that really must have made them jealous!

and you know what also gets me so confused on the Knot?
All these brides they're supposed to be sooooooo happy about planning their wedding and plannin the wedding of their dreams, that they're so cruel, heartless and mean, It's like 'hello, this is supposed to be the happiest times of your life, why are you picking a fight?'

Yeah i was so surprised coming on here, this was after i had been on the knot for a few months so it was very refreshing lol

yup i agree were Sooo much better than the knot

It's really a shame that you guys have had an experience like that on the knot. It used to be a very useful tool with a great bunch of girls on the LI Board. There are still a bunch of us who, long after the weddings have remained friends and still get together, much like this site.

I'm realy sorry to hear you had that experience. You've been nothing but nice and helpful to me - they sound stupid and judgmental. It's no new news that girls can be catty when other chics have bigger tatas and nicer lips! (and apparently we can add cuter Fhs and Erings to that list)
