THE MOTIVATION & GOALS THREAD

Original post by shamma

What do you do to keep yourseld motivated and to stay on track, to keep losing weight, eating right and exercising??

I always try to picture myself where I want to be and what I will be wearing when I get there.

Another thing that I do is I will buy an anticipation outfit and make it be my motivation

I reward myself with nice w/o outfits whenever I reach a goal.

As they say, nothing taste as good as thin feels, my gf told me this is from her WW meeting. I like that a lot

I love to exercise, so there I do not need too much motivation, when I feel like my workouts are getting redundant and not challenging me anymore, I try different classes, african dance, aqua aerobics, boxing etc.

Re: THE MOTIVATION & GOALS THREAD

I need weight loss wishes...I am going after work to WW to weigh in.....Please wish me loss.

cooky11111....on weighwatchers.com check out the boards....under staying local, there is a long island board...and there are a great bunch of people there. I post on there too....under the name my2k1vtec.

I sold 2 more Weight Watcher Starter Kits on Ebay this week. One for $34 and one for $35 plus $5 shipping.....Its not a bad profit that I made. I pay $19.99 per kit from the store. I guess the people that dont have access to weight watchers have no other choice than to buy them off ebay. I wonder what the people at Weight Watchers are thinking when I go in there each week and buy 1 to 2 starter kits....

Re: THE MOTIVATION & GOALS THREAD

Scott I do the same thing

The ppl in WW actually asked me why I need so many starter kits. I told them I have some friends and family that live out of state and dont have a WW location near them.

I made a good profit selling kits. I think the highest I sold one for was $42.00

Re: THE MOTIVATION & GOALS THREAD

Thanks for the LI board, I live upstate now and you know what....no one is on that one!!~ Figures.

The people that do WW online or where there isn't a regular store can't get the kit. They don't even sell it to you if your a online member. That is why they sell good on EBAY.

I have an old slider so I really didn't need a kit. How did you do on your weigh in?

Re: THE MOTIVATION & GOALS THREAD

I gained 2.8. And I have no idea why. I went to WW yesterday and I bought 3 starter kits. The woman was asking me why I am buying that many kits and what I am going to be doing with them all. She wasnt going to let me buy them. I even told her I am buying one for me and two for my friends....She finally gave in when I told her I was weighing in also. I ended up paying her $69 for everything...She would of been pretty stupid to not take the money.

Next time I buy kits I will goto Wantagh, and I will have Danielle buy one, and if I need more I will have my other friends purchase them.

I sold another kit yesterday morning for $34 plus Shipping of $5 and it only costs $1.84 to ship. LOL...

I cannot wait till after New Years....These kits are going to sell for so much, especially since people always start diets the 2nd of the month.

Scott, nothing wrong with 2.8 you will lose that off in no time.

Here is a motivational quote for you. I was a bit busy at work the last too days

If you want the rainbow,
you have to put up with the rain.

I never knew these KITS were so popular. Great going guys

Since I have not been here, I must give you another quote to hold you over the weekend.

'Dwell not on the past. Use it to illustrate a point, then leave it behind. Nothing really matters except what you do now in this instant of time. From this moment onwards you can be an entirely different person, filled with love and understanding, ready with an outstretched hand, uplifted and positive in every thought and deed.'

Good for you Shamma!

I was on vacay last week sorry that I didn't post my quotes.

I gained 2 pounds on my time off but I am back to it. I shouldn't be surprised with what I ate at Mohegan Sun! It was soooo worth it though!!

Re: THE MOTIVATION & GOALS THREAD

I have a couple of motivations....My new motivation is all of you!! I just read all of your posts. I'm on day # 2 of WW.

About 4 years ago I got into the best shape of my life, lost 22 lbs, worked out 6 days a week...so I use a photo of myself in a strapless dress (size 6), toned arms and shoulders, thin face with defined chin.....as motivation!!

I start my exercise routine next week! I'M PSYCHED!!!! Thanks guys!

Re: THE MOTIVATION & GOALS THREAD

I am happy to see you all still on the bandwagon, nothing wrong with taking a break and getting right back on.

Scott, eat with your head and not your eyes. Scott why did you go off for 1 week?? How close are you to your goal weight now??

Stace we all know how it can be when we are away from home Natasha's shower was this past weeked and they had food for days, I ate without thinking...oh my midsection...LOL

Mel, I hope all is well. Keep us updated *mwah & hugs* to you

Hallbride - you keep coming back and motivating us as we motivate each other. I do not know what age you were at that size and how old you are now, but you must take in to account how our bodies change as we age. Exercising will definitely get you to your goals quickly. Take it one day at a time and do not beat yourself up if you fall off one day.

I will BRB with some quotes

That's great Shamma!

I haven't posted on here because I felt like I shouldn't unless I got off my lazy butt....and guess what! I DID

I renewed my gym membership on Friday and since then have gone back to the gym. My motivation MONEY. It feels so awesome to get back.

Another motivation was watching Britney Spears on TRL the other day. Holy Cow - the girl had on these super super low rise pants - not a jiggle!

Re: THE MOTIVATION & GOALS THREAD

See as long as you have a goal or something to motivate you. You go girl, get your workout on. No jiggle for you

Re: THE MOTIVATION & GOALS THREAD

Well me I gained a half pound but I think it is because my points dropped from 22 to 20. I wrote on the ww site and a few wwr's said the same thing happened to them when there points dropped so I decide to go back to the 22 points for a week or so and see what happens. I was up to about 10 pounds off before I gained the half!!

Just worried about next week going to LI for the Holidays and I live on the WW site for points and infor and recipes. Mom doesn't have a PC so I am sure I won't stay on track, but I will try.

Does anyone know about the Wendi Plan and have you ever tried it? The wwr's say it boosts you weightloss when you are in a slump.

I am going to post a few motivational quotes for you, to take us all through the Thanksgiving holiday and Christmas parties and whatever else we have to face.

but that it is too low and we reach it.

Re: THE MOTIVATION & GOALS THREAD

Cooky, why not bring your points finder, or your eating out guide. You can always check out this website Dottie's Weight Loss Zone

Before you go, print off the things that you think you will eat to stay on target. Eat with your head and not your eyes. You can have a little bit of your favorites, or you can save your points to eat what you really like.

Re: THE MOTIVATION & GOALS THREAD

Thanks Shamma, love the first one! I printed a food list from WW and I download to my Pocket PC some of the fast food places I know we will stop a long the way. Just can't use the tools on WW like I always do.

Does anyone know anyother sites besides Dotties that I can download to a Pocket PC?
I know there are a few for a palm but can't find more then Dotties for a Pocket PC.
