Re: The New FoxHollow Thread

Have they done a lot of remodeling in that room? I don't remember it looking like that. I thought the carpet and the drapes were darker - in fact, it was the reason I didn't want that room. But now it's so pretty!!

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread

I will post the rest of the pics tonight. I actually took a pic directly of the carpet to see the colors so I will post that too!

The minimum I had to garauntee for this room is 225 for a Saturday night. Be back later-have to go meet with a few photographers!

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread

Sorry...that first one is HUGE!
I just called to give my final count!
I think I might stop in there today. I have to go over to Jack & Rose down the street anyway so I think I'll go take another peek!

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread

Victoria, you are so right...those photos do NOT do that room justice. It is a gorgeous room.

I have a minimum guarantee of 160 on it for a Sunday afternoon.

I was in the gardens too, but the flowers aren't planted yet, so it doesn't look like it will for the spring/summer weddings.

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread

i think the winter garden looks much nicer now with the white paint and the new lighting. i just don't like the chairs. the paint job looks crappy. I'm probably going over there soon. anything else you want pics of?

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread

Are the chairs white now? Is it seriously crappy enough that I should consider chair covers?

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread

they are white now. i don't think they're so bad that you need chair covers although chair covers would look really pretty in there. I'll try to tak a picture. they reupholstered the chairs too with a different fabric.

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread

Hey there! I'm new to the thread! It sounds like so many of you just drop by to check out the rooms. Do I need an appointment if it's empty? My FH has been asking if we can go look just to see it again.

Also, did anyone book with Mindy? I booked with her & LOVED her, she honestly sold us on the place. When I called with a question about the ceremony time, they said she's no longer there. I have been freaking out ever since! Now I have the head banquet manager (whose name I forgot) working with us but I'm not sure he'll do as nice a job or bend over backwards for us like she did.

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread

Hi and welcome!!! What room are you using?

FH and I visit our room whenever we can. We eat there quite often, and as long as there isn't anything going on in the room, they will let you take a peek. We usually also walk around the gardens for a while and all the other rooms.

As for Mindy, I don't know her, we booked with Mel. But once you book, Stacy mostly takes care of all the final arrangement questions. She's very nice.

Good Luck!

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread

We are in the Garden Terrace Room for the recepton & either outside (if the weather's good) or in the Briar Fox for our cocktail hour.

Our cermony is also there & will HOPEFULLY be in the large garden by the waterfall.

We can't decide wether to do pictures before everything at Old Westbury Gardens or skip half the CH to take them at Fox Hollow.

fallinlove04--I added us both to the list!

I am getting married 4/17/04. Cocktail in the restaurant and reception in the Winter Garden Pavillion. Our reception is during the afternoon and we are staying at the Inn the night of the wedding. My girls dresses are sky blue (periwinke), but I plan to have the flowers in shades of fuschia and pink. I Love how they redecorated the Winter Garden, except for the chairs. The white paint is already chipping off. Maybe that's why they sent around that survey about the chairs. I hope they get some new ones by April!

Afternoon brides-what are you doing after the wedding? I looked into having an after party at the Inn, but I'm not sure if I'm going to do it or not. You have to pay a room fee and then a price per person for beverages. Then you can choose to have platters of food if you want also. I just don't want the day to be over at 6:30, but I don't really know what else to do. I heard that they are strict about having parties in the guest rooms at the Inn so I don't want to try that. Do you think we could hang out at the bar in the restaurant of Fox Hollow with the bridal party? Or do you have any suggestions for someplace else to go?

Hey I am a Fox Hollow Bride too. I was just thinking when someone was going to initiate a thread for us. I am so glad that it's finally up.

I thought about staying at the Inn the night of my wedding and having my guest stay there as well. But it is quite pricy and I am not too thrilled abou the Bridal Suite. I was hoping for something a bit more fancy or bridal, if you will.
