Re: The New FoxHollow Thread
Thanks all!! I'm really kicking myself right now because this thread is so awesome and I wish I checked in on it earlier! Oh well - yes, I am SO excited right now with only a few days until my wedding!! I can't wait for this wonderful day to finally arrive! :) I do have to learn how to post pictures here though, so I'll make a point to do that once we get back from the honeymoon. HOORAY!

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread
I couldn't get my scanner to work so I had to take a picture with my digital camera. Sorry for the poor quality! This is the cake we picked. It is going to have buttercream icing and my florist is going to decorate it with fresh flowers. We chose yellow cake with raspberry and chocolate mousse filling. They alernate the filling between the layers so everyone will get both fillings with their cake & if they don't like one they can still eat the other half of their cake.Helena-Good luck this weekend!!!! I can't wait for your review and your pictures! Are you having your reception in the Winter Garden Pavillion? That's where mine is.
How many people are you having? We have 138. I'm not sure how to do the seating arrangements. We can use all 13 tables and have 8 tables of 11 and 5 tables of 10. But, Stacy suggested that if possible to take away one of the tables in the middle row to kind of extend the dance floor. But, if we do that we will have 6 tables of 11 and 6 tables of 12. I'm not sure if I want to have tables of 12. That would be kind of tight seating right? Should I do 12 or 13 tables?

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread
Thanks bride04!I'm still in some kind of neutral phase, where it hasn't really hit me yet that I'm getting MARRIED in just 2 days!! :) Our reception is also going to be in the Winter Garden Pavillion - and since we are having a fairly small wedding (90 guests), I'm sure everyone will have enough room. I love your cake too! That's the one I really wanted, but we thought it was a little unfair that it cost more than the rest and with all the money we've spent lately, we just picked one of the included cakes - buttercream frosting with cannoli filling - yummy! :) Chris at PWP is doing our centerpieces with candles and peach rose petals and he's also going to put peach roses all over our cake to dress it up a bit - for free! :)
As far as your tables go - we staggered them since we were only using 9 of the 13, and it fills up the room a lot better that way! Craig and I actually had a chance to look at the room on Wednesday night, and the tables are very big! I'm sure you would have no problem with room if you had 12 to a table, but it's whatever your preference is :) We have a couple tables of 12, but that's just the way our guest list was, it was either that or have 4 poeople at a table ;)
Holy COW I'm so excited!!!! I will DEFINITELY post pics and reviews and everythign once we get back from our honeymoon :) Today is my last day of work, so if I'm not back later - I hope everyone has a great weekend, and keep your fingers crossed for a nice day for me on Sunday
Thanks girls!

Ladies, I just went to Watermill.com website to view cakes and I thnk the site that was quoted on this board is incorrect. Does anyone have the correct website?

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread
Hi Ericia,This cake does have an extra cost - they told me it would be $300! It's beautiful, but we;ve spent so much money already, so we just went with the other cake (#4 I think) and we'll roses for free from PWP :)

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread
They told you it would be extra for that cake? I didn't have to pay anything extra. Stacy showed us an album and said that all of the cakes in the album were included. We both liked this one so we didn't even ask about upgrading. It would probably cost more if you wanted it done with fondant icing. But, we're just getting it with buttercream like in the picture.I'm trying to remember the other cake choices. I think the rest were all round. Some were stacked and some had tiers. There was a basketweave one and I think one that had vertical stripes of icing. I can't really remember. As soon as we saw the one I posted above we didn't really look much at the others.

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread
Here's the website for the WatermillI think those are the same cakes I saw when I picked my menu, except it's missing the last one that I picked. Ours was the last cake in the book and it was #8. Maybe they added another choice. JMO, but I think it would be easier to decorate the square cake than some ot the others so I don't know why they would charge more.

bride04 - yeah they said of all the cakes in that album, there was only one that would cost anything more snice the rest were included in the price, and I rememebred it was that one bc that's the one I wanted.... What's up with that? Oh well - no worries, it's Sunday anyway and our cake is going to be awesome :)

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread
I'm sure your cake will be beautiful! The Fox Hollow doesn't charge you to decorate it with flowers?Hmmm they never said anything about that one costing more. I hope they don't try to sneak in an extra $300 at the last minute. I already have my heart set on that cake.
What time is your wedding on Sunday? I'd love to go see the room set up before you guys are in there. I really want to see how tight it is with 12 at a table before I start doing my seating arrangements. And I love going over there anyway. I'll make up any excuse to go see the room again!
I also want to refresh my memory about the size of the dance floor. We've been taking dance lessons so I want to see how much room we have for our first dance. My dance instructor told us we should bring a boombox and go practice in the room itself. I would feel like such an a ss!!

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread
that's funny - if I see someone with a boom box walking out as we come in - I'll know it's you! :) Our reception starts at 2 with a 12:30 ceremony. I'm so excited!!! :)

Re: The New FoxHollow Thread
Don't worry, there's no way I am bringing in a boom box. I don't even think I would just go in there and dance. There's always someone around. I think I always imagine the dance floor to be smaller than it really is.I am sure you will have an amazing day. Good luck!!!!!!

That was my cake. I loved it but it was $300 extra. My florist did the flowers but I think Fox Hollow wanted another $100 to decorate it.
