watermill bride.....october 10,2010 in the aster suite....was the second hall i saw and just fell in love with it. We just heard that bruce left who was such a sweet and funny guy we were heart broken to hear that he recently left the watermill ;(.

Booked out photographer now have to look for a dj .

UM WHAT????????? hes mine tooo!!!!!!!! im SO aggravated right now to the fact that I didn't get some sort of phone call or notification from the Watermill about this!

I have so many agreements and extras and stuff that Bruce threw in for us, and they ARE on paper, but I will lose it if they try not to honor something thats been promised to me! I need to go get all my paperwork in order now OMG IM SO SAD he was like my FAVE person there!!

I met the new guy Frank last night....he was very nice, but not Bruce...

Im not fond of Brian (no offense to those who have him) but I had a little tiff with him on the phone one day, and did not like how he handled my concern....

grrr this really s**ks!!!!!!

We are really mad too. We were actually originally supposed to be getting married in 3 weeks...thank God it happened now with the wedding a year away. I would have gone crazy!

I have no idea who else to use.

I'm sooooo upset!!! We love the Watermill, but Bruce was a big reason why we booked it. He made us feel confident about our wedding.

We, too, have shared a lot of things with him and he has made us reassured us about of concerns.

We went to the expo last night and asked around about new BM's. One of the workers told me that she would go with the girls. They are more detail oriented, but who knows.....I didn't even know they had girl BM's.

What terrible news!!!!!

So annoyed Watermill didn't call. What else could go wrong. We are already on our 4th BM at our ceremony location (other's left too).

I am just soooooo DISAPPOINTED !!!! We loved Bruce!!!!!!

bruce was our BM also and i am soooo mad about this also. i called last night and told them how upset i was that i found this out through a WEBSITE (love long island weddings/you girls but you know what i mean) and not by a PHONE CALL. I mean i understand people leave, but you could have at least sent an email or called and explained the situation and have the new person introduce themselves to me. i only spoke to a receptionist last night bc they had a bridal expo. and brian called me back today saying if i had any questions or concerns i can go to him. but i mean i want my own BM--someone i can feel comfortable with and feel like he/she will take care of everything. so now i feel i dont even have a BM? i dont know what to do. i know me and FH are going to go check out the watermill to see how it looks like in the summer, so i guess i can make an appointment with someone when i go but i feel like THEY should be calling ME to do that. i dont know i am upset i feel like they could have handled the situation better

I couldn't agree with you more.....a letter would have been nice. We had the same situation at our ceremony brunch location and we never got a call either AND it happened 4 times.

That was nothing compared to this!

I am very disappointed! I plan on selecting the next BM as I do not want the newbie.

Any feedback on other BM's would be greatly appreciated.

Does anyone know offhand what the maximum # of people is for the Astor Suite? Our minimum is 125 and I can't remember what they told us the max is. My mom thinks she remembers 160 but I think she's just making a number up.

So when i was at the last bridal showcase i asked what bakery the watermill use and i can not remember for the life of me i know there were two. Does anyone know what bakerys they use??

if you DONT choose one of the wedding cakes in their book, and want a custom one, fondant, etc...(like me) than the bakery is Macayla Michaels Desserts!!!

This is the bakery that had a table set up at the showcase....

if u TASTED cakes that were there (a table right next to that bakery) those are the WATERMILLS cakes, not Macayla Michaels....

but since i want my own beautiful original fondant creation, I have a meeting with Macayla Michaels Desserts in 2 weeks! :)

im in the astor suite, and I believe the Maximum is 196/200

because the tables can fit up to 14 people, and besides the bride n groom table u can fit 14 tables, so 14x14 is 196 but i believe iwas told they can squeeze in up to 200 (although i wouldnt want to) and then the Vanderbilt, for a saturday night at least, had a minimum of 200 up to God knows what!! lol

Ok thanks!! I know we'll def meet the minimum but I'm just worried about having wayyy more than that but if that's the max, I shouldn't be worrying. lol.

I'm in the Vanderbuilt room and I believe they said that it can fit around 400...I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure it's around there!!

I'm in the Vanderbilt and they said up to 350! Does anyone know how many people they set up for per table? Is it 8 or 10 or 12? TIA!

Welcome!!! Are you new to planning? Have you gone to any of the showcases yet? I recommend them as a starting point to determine what you like/don't like in vendor work. We ultimately so far have gone with vendors NOT on their list, but the head start we got at the showcase was invaluable!

Okay girls.. so I was just reading all the posts and saw that Bruce left ?!?!?!?!??!?! are you kidding??

I agree, a letter or something should have been sent out - I have to go give my next payment by Aug. 1, so I plan on saying something to them. And now I am going to have to review the contract they have and make sure everything is still in order.

Bruce was the best!!
