~*~*~*~*The 'official 08 wedding' Weight watchers thread~*~*~*~*

Original post by jsta76

OK so since you guys mentioned it, i'm starting it.

I've been on WW for about 4 weeks now. I've lost a total of 6.4 lbs. I have a LONG way to go but for the first time I'm totally motivated to do this. In the past I haven't been in the right mindset and i'm not letting the wedding affect that. I plan to continue after .

The new statement they've been using in our meeting is:

'If you always do what you always did, you'll always get what you always got.'

The more I think about it, the more its true.

Keep up the great work ladies!!!!

I didn't have all of my points today (which I usually do) and I just made the mistake of eating. II scarfed down a WW dessert and i'm probably going to bed soon which is usually a big nono.

I still have several points left tho.

What do you guys do when you go on vacation??

I want to enjoy myself this weekend but i want to be careful about what I eat. It would be easier if I ate seafood but unfortunately I don't like the smell/taste.

I'm going to Cape Cod tomorrow morning and i'll be away until Monday. No one except for FH knows that i'm on WW because I don't want them to look at me like 'you shouldn't be eating that:'

Tuesday we're supposed to be spending the day at Great Adventure as well so its not going to be easy.

Just pick the wiser choices of things. Like if you go to a place that only has burgers and the likes, get a grilled chicken sandwich or a turkey burger.

I shouldnt talk though i gained lbs this week

It's ok to gain so don't stress out about it. I don't mind the chicken but I alway end up getting and eating the fries that come WITH it. I have a hard time controlling myself.

I told FH I would eat a lot of salad but I won't enjoy that as much. LOL.

It's so annoying...I lost and then I gain a 1lb, lose a lb...I am being SOOOOOOO good and I cannot break the 9-10 lb mark...I feel better and I can see myself changing a bit but christ, can't the scale move?!?!?

I think about it frequently since its soooooo true. I have to push myself to write things down or keep my journal on the internet since I had a hard time doing that in the past. I've been successful so far.

yea i see if i count everything I make sure i don't dip into my extra 30 if i don't count everything i know i am going into that extra 30 points and that is when I see that i gain a pound or i don't drop anything.

I realize i am going to a wedding next weekend so i am sure something will happen. Either no weight loss or a small gain. I also found that the zero point soup really does help. I make it every week and eat it for lunch twice or three times a week and then i have a small bowl usually fridays after i get hoem since i eat late typically then. This way i am not starving when dinner actually happens.

Also found that making your meals a few days in advance and having them all setup just to grap and go or heat is best. I put the points on the bags or on notes attached to it so i know exactly whats going in me with out any thought.

i'm so glad this board was started! i just looked at pictures from my e-party back in june and i absolutely HATE the way I look! I've done ww before, so i have all the books and stuff, but i'm trying to save $, so i'm not paying the fee or going to meetings...i've been doing it for about 2 weeks and have lost about 5 lbs, so i feel good, but i have a lot more to go...i want to loose 40 lbs...that would really be ideal!

if anyone lives in the huntington/greenvale area, the meeting in greenvale is amazing...the ww leader is leslie and she seriously is the best!

question: i haven't been that excited to go look at dresses or try them on b/c i hate the way i look....my wedding is next sept...i still have plenty of time, right? i ask b/c i wouldn't want to order something now that is too big and then have to take it in later on...of course, i'm assuming i'll be a hot skinny little thing!

sorry this was so long!

You shouldn't have a problem. I waited until the 8 month mark to order my dress,

I made the mistake of ordering it a size larger just in case. I've lost about 10 lbs since and plan on loosing a LOT more so they're just going to have to take it in.
