OK so since you guys mentioned it, i'm starting it.
I've been on WW for about 4 weeks now. I've lost a total of 6.4 lbs. I have a LONG way to go but for the first time I'm totally motivated to do this. In the past I haven't been in the right mindset and i'm not letting the wedding affect that. I plan to continue after .
The new statement they've been using in our meeting is:
'If you always do what you always did, you'll always get what you always got.'
The more I think about it, the more its true.
Keep up the great work ladies!!!!

Posted by KarinAmanda done deal ... im joining this weekend! monthly pass it is AND im gonna see if FH wants to join with me since they have a sections just for guys on the website
It's funny you say that, when I went to my first meeting I hadn't said anything to FH about joining. As soon as I came home and told him he was like do you want me to join with you?
I told him no, he doesn't really need it. LMAO.

I have been on WW for the past couple months. I lost almost 20 lbs but I haven't had a change in the past 2 months. I really need to get my rear end in gear! I am going to be a BM in 45 days!!
I need to cut the nonsense and get back on track!!
Over on the WW boards, they used to talk about the Wendie plan for when you were in a weight loss rut.

Hey, I live close to ronkonkoma and have been thinking of joining!?!? What days were you think of going??
Not sure yet. I'm going to check the schedule right now! I'll let you know.
Where we guys a month ago when I joined? LOL, J/K.
I'm in Holtsville. As I mentioned I go in Patchogue off of sunrise either Tues/Wed nights depending on FH's schedule.
If you guys ever want a walking buddy or need motivation, feel free to let me know. Going to meetings is one thing but I need to be more active. I think the buddy system is a great way to go.
I grew up in Holtsville my mom is still there. Did you graduate from Sachem?
I grew up in Dix Hills and we moved here about a year ago and I totally LOVE it! It's funny since I never thought i'd live further east.

Posted by mirlynn324 Thats a great idea. Maybe we should have an exercise GTG. We could hike or something!
I'm definetely game. I don't know many people in this area so it'd be nice to make some new friends.
Occasionally FH will go lets go for a walk, i'll grumble and say maybe later.
My problem has always been sticking to it. I'll excercise for a few weeks and then stop completely. I gotta get outta that habit.

I hear ya!
You know what has helped me lately? Cablevision!
Seriously, if you go to the free on demand channel, they have all these exercise programs you can watch on demand! There is a lot of them so it is good for variety and there is yoga too!

Stay positive girls! I have been on WW since November and I have lost 32 pounds. I put a few back pn while I was in Florida...so I got yo get that off. It is slow and sometimes frustrating but you have to keep going. Slow is better b/c you are more likely to keep it off.
I go to the WW meetings on Saturday mornings in Bay Shore. It is located at the South Shore Mall in between Macy's and Lord & Taylor.
The 10% goal is 10% of your starting weight. So let's say someone's statring weight is 180lbs, the 10% goal is 18lbs.
Some helpful things for you girls thinking of joining!

Oh..I almost forgot...an average slice of pizza is 7 points.
I tried the online WW, but I needed more direction, support and accountability, so I go to the meetings.

I keep on hearing about that on the other thread. It's sad but i'm a little embarrassed to do that especially when FH is home.

I lost 25lbs. I have been doing it since Feb. I work for them part time now. So if anyone has questions???
If you stick to it, it really does work. I must say you really do need to go to the meetings. I did it for a month on my own and only lost 2 lbs. My first week after the meeting I lost 4lbs.

oh theres one in wantagh ... in the cherrywood shopping center (ugh next to friendlys) and one in massapequa (ugh next to starbucks)
my goal is to get to WW this weekend, and join ... my goal is 40 lbs by this time next year!
im pumped to do this now
I agree that the meetings help. I joined last year and lost 20 lbs. I thought I knew it all and stopped going to the meetings because ' I have all the books' but all I ended up doing was gaining the 20 back.
I re-joined 2 weeks ago and so far I am down 2 lbs.
I have been doing online and meetings and it seems to keep me motivated (plus I wont go dress shopping until I lose 20-25 lbs.) I figure that alone will keep me motivated!
40 lbs. is my goal too! We can do it!
we can!!! where are you going to meetings? or are you doing it online?
i would love to loose 50 (but realistically 40)
I have been counting points at home using my point finder and books from last year for the past week and I have lost 4 lbs. Now that I know about this monthly pass, I think I might join at the Ronkonkoma WW because from past experience, the meetings DO help!

Just curious, What do you do for them?
I interviewed for an inventory position early this year but didn't get it. Probably a good thing since it would be a b!tch for me to get to Jericho.

I weigh people in. I'm only working part time cause I teach during the year. It was kinda like a summer job. I love it!!!

Good idea! It's much easier when you have people doing it with you to motivate you. I had my 'last meal' tonight and tomorrow I'm going to be serious about my point counting and exercise. WW did good for me before and I've been steady for about 3.5 years but I'd like to lose more and this is it! Since I'm on these boards more, it will be easier than going on another site!
