~*~*~*~*The 'official 08 wedding' Weight watchers thread~*~*~*~*

Original post by jsta76

OK so since you guys mentioned it, i'm starting it.

I've been on WW for about 4 weeks now. I've lost a total of 6.4 lbs. I have a LONG way to go but for the first time I'm totally motivated to do this. In the past I haven't been in the right mindset and i'm not letting the wedding affect that. I plan to continue after .

The new statement they've been using in our meeting is:

'If you always do what you always did, you'll always get what you always got.'

The more I think about it, the more its true.

Keep up the great work ladies!!!!

I gained 1 pound this week

I don't know what happened, even when I have my period the most I ever gained was 6 ounces.

don't feel bad.. i gained 4 during my period mostly from water weight and it never dropped..
it usually does... so now i'm half way back to where i started..
It happens sometimes even when u do things right.. u'll lose it and then some!!!!!!

do u think ww or nutri system is cheaper? im thinking of doing ns

I tried NS several years ago and HATED it. Granted is was a LONG time ago when I was on it, you had to buy their packaged food which wasn't that great. I didn't like it at all. The program might have changed since I know they were near bankruptcy at one point.

WW you pay for meetings and do your normal food shopping. You get a lot more support from them as well.

$$wise I still think WW is better but they are probably close to the same amount because of food. I HIGHLY reccomend WW.

Got weighed in tonight but it wasn't a good week for me at all. I gained 1 lb.....I do and I don't really know where I went wrong.

Re: The 'official 08 wedding' Weight watchers thread

after a wedding a oot dinner I really thought I did well for not eating and drinking myself to death. But then after looking at my tracker I was missing food I had eaten over the entire week such as: piece of cheese (i am a cheese nut so i had about four regular slices of american cheese), I also neglected to factor in the teaspoon amount of egg salad and potato salad i had taken twice in a week.

So once I added that in and the wedding/dinner food I was like oh yea i did go over my points... so i gained a pound.

FH can not understand how that happens. He goes I go on a beer/food binge and i gain nothing. I go exactly!!!! The frustration of that part of being a man REALLY REALLY pisses me off.

Anyway we all have a bad week weather or not we realize it. Just keep trying to it extra hard next week and you will drop that pound and then some. Eat more veggie soup!

Yeah, I realized one of the things I DIDN'T do last week. Drink water. I'm usually fanatical about it but for some reason I just didn't do it at all. I have a 33 oz bottle at all times at my desk. I make sure to fill it up twice a day. Some people think that doesn't make a difference but it really does.

Jen, I saw your post about dance lessons. When are you guys starting? We are thinking about doing that as well since FH has NO rhythm either.
Great excercise!!!!

Okay, just got back from my weigh in. The last 2 weeks I gained .4 lbs and then 1 lb. This week I lost 1lb. So I feel like I am back on track. My goal is to lose 1lb. a week, thats it. I really don't have that much to lose and I figure the slower I go the easier it will stay off.

YAY for 1 lb. this week

Since I started talking about fondue now i'm craving it bigtime...anyone know how to make a WW version?

fat free cheese which doesn't melt very well and I would add garlic to it and maybe one splash of white wine. Fat free swiss kinda melts well. Mostly alpine lace stuff is good.

I joined ww at the end of April. I was completely inspired by all the girls on LIW who were wwers. If not for this board I don't think I would have went, it was so helpful to have this board to ask questions about how it works before going, so thank you so much girls for being my inspiration.

I have lost 22 pounds and am 6 pounds away from my goal weight. I can't believe what a difference 20 makes but I feel great, have so much more energy and love the way clothes fit.... I'm back to my skinny clothes that were hiding in the back of my closet!!!

UGH!!!!

I am soooo frustrated lately. I feel like i'm in a complete rut lately.I know its not advisable
and I know I shouldn't be doing it but I've been weighing myself just about every day and not noticing a big change. I need to get out of the habit but haven't.

Anyone else do the same?

Going to my meeting tomorrow so I know that will be the final word.

Can you just go another day during the week?

I know with the monthly pass you can go to any meeting or as many meetings as you want. Plus they give you the online accesss so its totally worth it!!!
