Glad to hear that your co-worker had an amazing experience. I too always talk to people that say nothing but good things. We are LUCKY!

That's a fantastic idea! I'm ALL about splitting the cost! Any daytime weddings on Sept 12?! The draping is SO pretty, but a bit pricey!

Hey North Ritzers!!!!
I just called Nadine and moved my cocktail hour to 7.
She also told me that I will be meeting with George sometime in Feb to go over the menu, linens and all that good stuff...
I have a question, has anyone added extra time to the cocktail hour? If so, was there any extra costs?
Also, If you are having a viennese, how long is your reception? She said my cocktail hour starts at 7 and the party will go to 12AM. Is that normal? Is it 1 hour for the cocktail hour, 3 hours for the reception and then 1 for the viennese?

Re: ~THE OFFICIAL 2009 NORTH RITZ CLUB THREAD~
Hey Girls - I was just browsing and saw this thread...My brother got married at the NRC in July07, and it was SO nice! The CH was honestly one of the best - it was sooooo good. I can only hope my wedding's CH is as good!!!
The reception was also amazing - the food was really good, and the service was always asking if we wanted another drink, and coming back to fold our napkins.
I'm sure all of your weddings will be just as nice!!

So funny---I jsut called Nadine a few days ago for the same reason! We have Viennese hour and our contract says 7:30-1! It should be an extra half hour! So I called and spoke to Nick and he said it shouldn't be a problem if we started at 7, since it should be 6hrs with Viennese! So I still have to talk to Nadine to confirm, but I hope that helps you a bit----a regular party is 5hours, so Viennese should be 6. Good luck!

WE WERE ACTUALLY THINKING OF ADDING VIENEESE TO OURS. WHAT ARE THE PRICES YOU GIRLS ARE GETTING?
IT IS AN ADDITIONAL HOUR WITH VIENEESE. SO IT WOULD BE 6 HOURS IN TOTAL.

I think the price depends on when your getting married etc but I think it was like $12-15 a head but that might be the raw bar for cocktail hour..hmmm not sure but I think it is around that..
So the reception should be 4 hours then an extra hour for vietnese? I have to make sure mine is set up for that..

Hey girls!
Ok this may be a dumb question. Does NRC provide you with place cards or do I have to get them myself. I'm sorry, my head is spinning this morning.

There are a few hotels in the area. I'm getting ready at home, but if you go the NRC website they have about 4 hotels listed. Hope I helped!

Yes, they do provide the place cards. And with that mentioned, they also have coordinating menus as well.

I booked the Residence Inn and blocked rooms there. I am not getting ready there because I live within 5-10 minutes from the NRC. However, Residence Inn does have brunch options. Check them out.
