Just figured I would start one, I have not seen any up till now, and thought it would be a great idea..it seems there is more and more people having weddings there!!

I am almost positive that eastwind does not make their own wedding cakes. I like the way fondont looks, but I heard that it tastes like cardboard, just some info for you.....

I had made a thread a while ago but it did not last, so lets make this one last. About the cake East Wind told me to bring a picture of what I want and they would replicate it. I think they use Shoream Bakery, I know it is done outside. Fondant is extra, but cakes that are not that detailed could be made in whipped cream and then decorated.

Jamie, we can choose whatever filling we want for our cake, right?? I asked to glance thru the book of cakes, tI think ther ewas like 6 to choose from for the package, but if you wanted somethig different, you pay the difference, and they said if you see something you like in a magazine, etc, they can ask the person they use for a quote on it...

JZNCK, are you planning on having place cards? I know that we don't need them at the Estate...but I think that I might have them anyway. What do you think?
If they'll let me, I want to do place cards, because I'm afraid that it will take too long to sit everyone.. I don't mind the place card idea, then people can sit whenever they want..

Hi Everyone. I am an Inn at East Wind bride to be! Originally I was a 2005 bride, but due to FI's father's illness, we have postponed until 2006 since the road to recovery will be a long one.
We will be at the showcase on the 14th as well

ooohh.. me too..we'll have to meet.. I live in Georgia at the moment.. so I always miss the bridal shows, and GTG's I'll hold up a big LIW sign..

THanks swags.. I also thought that the seating was a nice touch.. and it does save money and time on place cards..

Hey there girls! I am getting married at the Estate this Saturday! I cant believe it. East wind is gorgeous I love everything about it. I remember when I first walked in to the Estate I started to get teary eyed. Everything was perfect.

Yeah finally an East Wind thread!!! I'm getting married in the North Hampton Ballroom July 15, 2005. So far we have the photographer and DJ booked. For those of you doing the ceremony at the Inn, they just built a beautfiul chapel room!!! We were so excited to find that out a month ago when we went to make a payment. I have a question about placecards....do they provide the placecards and write the names and table numbers for you? I am so clueless! I need to find out the size of them if they do provide them because FI and I are planning to do frames for them. Happy planning!!!

BTW I am also going to the expo on the 14th. We went to one in October and some family members couldnt make it so we are going for a secoond time!

I really did not want to use place cards but I was worried about there being a huge line and it taking too long for people to be seated....Thanks swags!! I feel a lot better.
