Ladies, let's help each other plan our HMs. Since we all are mainly going to the same islands (I'm going to Maui and Kauai, and I know lots are too- also Oahu is popular among us) let's post the activites/tours that we find interesting so we can help each other.

Re: The OFFICIAL Hawaii Honeymooners thread!!!!
Thanks 2003wedding! In all the madness of the quickly approaching wedding I haven't had any time to research what to do on the honeymoon. I just sat down for the first time today to start doing research for our honeymoon to Oahu and Kauai, and it was all there for me! I'm also going to get the books that were recommended, I love it, everyone on this site is so helpful!

You guys are going to have a trip of a lifetime! Hawaii was amazing!! Kauai was our personal favorite
Anyone going to the Kauai Hyatt be sure to try their Shipwreck Surfer - it was my favorite drink while there

Re: The OFFICIAL Hawaii Honeymooners thread!!!!
Ok..I am in the mood to give some food reviews:
In Maui - for good $$$ eats - my favorites were Spago (In the Four Seasons) and Nick's Fishouse. Worth every penny!
In Kauai - Beachhouse for sunset and Donettelo in the Hyatt (I never remember the correct name in Kauai.
Definitely drive the whole island of Kauai and stop for Shaved Ice along the way. Sounds so plain - but it isn't! It is so yummy. Shaved ice over macademia ice cream....soo soo good. We also found this awesome vietnemese restaurant along the drive - I think it was in a town beginning with a W. Small and looks like nothing but so good and really cheap - we stopped in for lunch - I will ask DH if he remembers the name.
If you plan on doing a lot of driving trips like we did (road to Hana, top of Mt, drove Kauai) we stopped in town in Maui (by the airport) on of the first days and filled up with stuff from Walmart. We got a styrofoam cooler, chips, bottle water and other goodies. Saves $$ and on some trips there are no really places to stop - so comes in handy.
PS Defintitely to the helicopter ride in Kauai - don't be scared!!!! So gorgeous!

2003 wedding, you're the best. That was so detailed & complete. I'm going to Maui & Kauai but most of my info is on Maui-I appreciate all the good Kauai tips. Niecey thanks for the food reviews. That is a priority for me. Its not a good vacation for me if I don't eat well.

Re: The OFFICIAL Hawaii Honeymooners thread!!!!
just wanted to say if any of you guys are hikers (like me!) i found a great book at borders that's called 'day hikes on kauai'. i believe they have ones for the other islands too, but not sure. it gives detailed instructions on how to get to the hike site, where to park, nice maps of the trail and details on where to turn around, plus mileage, estimated time and difficulty rating. i'm so excited as we plan to hike the waimea canyon!
then i have a question for those going to kauai- first off if that's your first or only island what airline are you taking and what's your flight schedule? it seems that only united flies directly there but we are kind of scared to book them since they'll probably be out of business by sept. i was wondering if anyone else found a direct flight on another island? part of our problem is we want to leave ny at about 5 the day after our wedding, stay in cali for the night (originally san fran when we were looking at united) and then fly to kauai in the morning. anyways....
secondly, i've heard that both the hyatt and sheraton will be undergoing construction this year. anyone have more details?
thanks!!
