The OFFICIAL 'This is the correct way to spell/say my name' Thread!!

This is not a direct knock at anyone because a LOT of people have done it (in the past as well) and Reg's post just made me think of it...this is a perfect way to do it. Its a pet peeve of mine...so I just gotta put it out there...

There's only 1 L in my name...its spelled I L A N A...I know its confusing coz a capital I and a lowercase L look the same...I am not upset with anyone...I just figured instead of looking at misspellings all the time and getting annoyed I should just say something.

I swear I'm not mad at any of you...I'm just a lunatic

Okay so apparently a lot of us have this problem so I changed the name of the thread to help all of us

hahaha.. I always yell at everyone for putting 2 n's in my name and it drives me crazy! And my user name on here makes it look like my name is Adrian when it's not lol.

every time i say it, i spell it differently! lol... im like ros doesnt sound right... but its rosalind! LOL

LOL I am crazy about my name too...

people say 'Cassie' because Casey I guess isn't that common for a girl but it blantently is 'Ca-sey' no 'Cas-sie' drives me NUTS. lol

Edited because I forgot to mention when i answer the phone at work, I have to say at the end 'Casey speaking' and half the world then says 'Hello Keisha' Keisha and Casey? I do not hear the resemblence.

My boss spells my name wrong every single time he spells it... He writes Angelia instead of Angela.... EVERY TIME....

also, most of my family calls me Angie... and i spell it Angie... dont spell it Ange when I spell it Angie...

Also, my sister refuses to spell Shauns name correctly... Its confusing since every other one she knows is Sean... but is been 8 1/2 years i think you can start spelling it correctly now

I'm with you guys on this one- People always spell my name Stacy, not Stacey-it drives me a little nutty. But, what really irks me is when they call me Tracey instead of Stacey. Is it really that difficult??!!

sorry, my FSIL is also Illana, and she spells it with 2 L's, that's the only reason I confuse. I am really sorry

So many co-workers always try to shorten my name to 'Laur' or 'Laurie' (which isn't really shortened...). It's LAURA. Easy and simple.

That's -in at the end. Not -en.

And my name is NOT Christine, Kiersten, Kirsten, Christian, Christina, or any variation of those names. I happen to like those names, but none of them are mine.

Just call me Kris. Everyone does anyway. It's easier, and I like it a lot more for myself.

Don't worry about it, honestly...that's an even better reason to make the mistake

And I know how you feel on that...after austin powers came out people started calling me 'Ilana V*gina' because the girl was named 'Allota Fagina'

My friend refuses to spell Becca right. If you ask him how to spell it he says, 'B-E-K-A.' It's not because he's a moron, which he can be sometimes, it's because he thinks he's hysterical.
