Re: The Official Woodbury Country Club Thread
for all the girls getting married at WCC and trying to remember what they use for table numbers -I stopped there the other day to check it out... WCC uses plastic picture frames for their table numbers. They are 7x5 tall. So you can easily slide your own signs in if you want!

Re: The Official Woodbury Country Club Thread
FMIL just informed me that she noticed on the contract for WCC that we have to use their florist for the ceremony (we are doing the ceremony there.) I don't have a copy of the contract--which is stupid. FIL's and my parents have copies. Anyone else have their ceremony there or deal with this issue?

I haven't had that problem at all and I'm having my ceremony there next month. We are using a florist not on their 'recommendation' list. Either it's something new they are instituting as part of their contracts or maybe your family is mistaken? I know they definitely prefer you use their recommended vendors, but I've never heard of them forcing anyone to use them. I'd call your Banquet Manager to make sure but I'm fairly certain you can use whomever you wish.

After the wedding let me know how it was.
They seem to be accomodating with everything so far!

I wanted to pop in and say that WCC was awesome! People still talk about it to this day!You do not have to use a recommended florist but they prefer you to. If you don't, you just have to get WCC a certificate of insurance from the florsit. This is because they have had florists damage thier gazebos in the past and they need to protect themselves.
I also used the Huntington Hilton and they were incredible to work with! Laurie was such a great help and was there to answer all my questions. My guests loved it there!

Oops...I just realized we are using the Melville Marriott and not the Huntington Hilton. I did get quotes originally from both though and they are about the same price. Both hotels are nice and are about a 10 minute drive from WCC.

Re: The Official Woodbury Country Club Thread
Thanks. I think we're gonna go with the Executive Inn at Woodbury and/or the Best Western Woodbury Inn. They're both very close and very reasonable. My only reservation was not having seen them in person. Their websites make them look really nice, if that means anything! (good advertising? i hope not)

They are 10min away. I rented the shuttle to take my guest back and forth. I liked it also because it has a bar so people have a place to go after the reception.
