The strange people you work with.....

Oh, I almost forgot about MYRA!!! This is the woman I used to work with. She was about 74, but would not retire. She would wear one outfit all five days of the week, so that she changed her clothes not every day like normal people, but every week

Needless to say, she didn't smell so great And when a colleague was made to discuss it with her, her reply was that she just needed to wear men's deodorant. She also had a frequent TP stuck out the back of the pants problem and had been known to change her clothes while sitting at her desk!

She was another talker-to-thyself, although she would do it in a high-pitched mutter so that she sounded an awful lot like Beaker from the Muppet Show.

She thought she was British and regularly called people things like Love and DUCK BUMPS!!

I think Im runner up in this one. I dont know what kind of problems she has (dont care to know either). But today was the second time she had an 'accident' and she left a trail of sh!t from the bathroom to her cubicle. I almost threw up from the smell.

I know I am not the only one who wonders about the screening process that my company has, or lack thereof...how do these people even GET JOBS???

There's this one woman, who RUNS everywhere she goes...swinging her arms like she's powerwalking. She RUNS from her desk to the printer, RUNS back to her desk, RUNS to the bathroom, RUNS back to her desk, PLOWS over people on her way to the cafeteria, RUNS BACK to her desk....I understand running if you are in a hurry to get to the bathroom, but the RUNNING BACK part freaks me out......

Oh my God, we had a freelancer like that. She came in a few days a week and read manuscipts for us and told the editors where she saw potential. She was really talented and very helpful, but old and wore old moth-eaten sweaters and she used to forget to zip up her pants. Very sweet woman but she should not have come to the office to do what she did.

We are all somewhat normal in my office NOW, but about a year and a half ago we had a first class quack with us. One of those stereotypically brilliant but insane types.

She is 55 and used to wear long corduroy jumpers with her hair in barrettes and little ankle socks with SANDALS!!!

She was highly allergic to peanuts and inspected EVERYTHING that was put out on the counter where we used to put food. I understand the allergy, but she used to interrogate people if they baked things.

She also had bad eczema on her hands and she used to scratch them until they bled and then wrap wet paper towels around them. One day we were having a luncheon and she stuck her flaky bleeding hand in a bag of potato chips. We all offered to GIVE her the whole bag.

She was known for throwing temper tantrums and I can remember at least a few occasions in which she was on the floor outside her assistant's cube, crying about how horribly the book she was working on at the time was going and how everyone hated her.

She eventually got fired (after 17 yrs) because her books were not selling. They were costing more to produce than they actually made

Omg I feel so bad for you guys. You really do work with the craziest people.
