The vendors we picked... any good?

Were about to put our down payments on our vendors but as always, i'm always hesitant when i'm giving money over to someone. We choose ADA Photography, In The Mood DJ and Jack&Rose florist. They are all house vendors for our venue, the Watermill. If you have used any of these, i'd love your feedback... only if YOU have used them. Thanks.

Re: The vendors we picked... any good?

In the mood was great, loved them have nothing but good to say. Have nothing but bad to say about how the florist with the male's name & the flowers name treated me. did not book with them - would not give them my money. meet with other florist's that were much more professional and ended up going with hidden essence. did not meet with ADA but have seen their work and it is very nice.

Re: The vendors we picked... any good?

Maybe it's a good thing we had to opt out of our appointment with Jack&Rose due to work schedule. I'm not going over the top with flowers, only for the ceremony. My reception is gonna be all candles and drapes. I might just buy flowers in bulk and make all my displays myself. Might save me a lot of money since I only need 2 altar displays and the hand bouquets. Has anyone done thing? It is more stressful?

The flowers were important to me and I can tell you hidden essence was 1000 less then everyone else for the same flowers. It might be worth just meeting with her to get a quote to compare it with doing it yourself so you don't have the stress.

I went to school with Danielle who is Tony (ADA's owner) daughter. She works there and they do fantastic work. We lived in Massapequa when we booked our photog and chose SilverFox but had we lived where we do now, we would have def booked them.

We fell in love with their work... and Tony seemed very professional and knew what he was doing. I'm still hesitant on giving deposit to anyone. My family is paying for everything except the deposits, that's all on us... so whenever I can get over this fear, I know i'll feel better but the stress is getting to me BAD!
