me too and im jewish
i actually felt that since there were over a dozen jewish people at the wedding it was kind of insulting as if we didnt' matter
i mean, what were we supposed to do with it???

yes, ive gotten them as holiday presents as well and although FH is catholic, im quite insulted when i get them as gifts
i dont understand, its like 'hey i have 3 of these so i'll give one to her' i actually put THOUGHT into the gifts that i give people

lol yeah i guess that would be weird if you gave out xmas ornaments to people who werent catholic./dont have xmas trees.....i dont have any jewish guests so i dont have to worry about that....but i can see how that would be

Here's a warning to the people doing CD favors. I think that is an awesome and very personal idea for favors, BUT - we were at a wedding two weeks ago where the B&G did this, only they used they really cheap CDs and cheap labels. We didn't notice until we put the CD in our car and it got stuck!!!!! So, a word to the wise, don't buy the cheapest labels and discs, b/c it can be a real pain in the butt!!! I'd tell you the brand (FH is big into electronics and things like this so he is the one who identified the reason for the screw up as the quality of the disc) but we STILL haven't gotten it out of the CD player!

I have to say, I've rarely gotten a favor I really didn't like...My favorite would have to be photo coasters, those are great. But, I did get a set of coasters that were possibly the ugliest things I've ever seen...they were by limoges, and I can't imagine what they cost, but they were blue and gold, and had a picture of what looked like Medusa in the center...god, they were awful...
my favorite in general though, I would say are candles and picture frames...I can always use more of them...
