I dont think anyone is meaning to hurt anyone here that might be doing a favor we may not like.

Really if they love it then thats what matters.

Im doing little wine rings inside the name tag crackers and I know that not everyone will like them but i love them.

we are also doing a wine stopper as the give away.

Honestly, I wouldnt care if someone mentioned either of them on here.

I just gave a warning bc ive seen this MANY times where it turns bad, people say ugh how is anyone doing this...hopefully it doesn't happen, but everyone reacts to things differently

Like i mentioned before, ill find use out of a favor...for example you mentioned wine stoppers, i don't drink wine so i would just give it to somebody who does, like my MOH lol

I don't think I've ever recieved a favor that I didn't like. But the one that stands out in my mind was one of the BEST favors I ever got. It was balsamic vinegar in a heart shaped bottle. The bride and groom are real foodies so this was perfect for them. They spent a FORTUNE on it though because they imported the vinegar from Italy and had the heart shaped bottle cutsom made over there too. It was really beautiful.

we've gotten a bunch that i have loved- fh and i are huge winos- so the wine cork was by far the best (although most times there isnt anything left when we open a bottle lol) and we loved loved loved the photo coasters someone gave us- ok we took out their picture but still very cool lol

I LOVE christmas ornaments as favors and if we don't choose to do an edible favor its probably what we will give especially since we are having a christmas wedding

I personally DISLIKE anything that has the couples name on it - I don't want to see other people's names on my Christmas Tree so I will not be putting our names on any favor whether it is an ornament or not

Thats not to say that I dont think some favors with names are cute - just personally they are more likely to end up in my garbage.....

that is really nice to hear! i am also giving a food related favor ( crystal grated cheese OR sugar holder with the little spoon ) and i worry that people wont like it!

I just went to a wedding and received a CD that they made - what i really liked about it though is that they mixed Polish and American music so i LOVE listening to music i have never heard before!

i also forgot to add that everyone likes different things and no matter what you give some people are going to love it and some people are going to hate it. so i would just do what you like and not worry to much about other peoples opinions......its only a wedding favor lol

I got a silver golf ball bottle opener and I use it sooo much. I also got the heart shaped meausuring spoons that I use alot. I also like the heart shaped wine stopper. One other wedding they gave a bottle of wine with their pic and date as the label. it was cute. I have no idea what I will be giving as favors.

I've never recieved a favor I didn't like but some are more useful than others!

But it is nice to hear what people are liking and why.

I'm most likely going to do candy apples but I want to do something else so you girls are giving me some good ideas.

be careful girls, for example there are girls on here who are doing mugs as favors. I see the point of this thread and understand just some people might get hurt by what is said.

Thanks Denise....I think you knew I was doing mugs (no gold trim though) and personally I love them. So like Denise stated something someone HATES can be something someone really likes. I don't care what anyone says I'm happy with my favor!
