Re: the worst wedding favor..
heres a WARNING..I personally am not a fan of favors....maybe it's because i have a million of them and feel bad throwing them out (italian guilt)....so....i thought maybe we would do cupcake favors. I went to My Little Cupcake in Massapequa and bought one just to see how it was....well i'm glad i did. It was dry, and the icing was skivatz.....that means no good......soooooooooooo that idea is out the window!!!

Re: the worst wedding favor..
what's the big deal if people use them as ash trays? if they can use it as something they need, I think that's good...my sister's friend got upset when she found out that the glass dish, in a pedestal, she gave out as favors, was my mom's new cat food dish...my sister told her, never thinking she would get offended...
I didn't get that either...I didn't know what it was for, maybe a floating candle...that would be a guess... but, if I can use it for something I need...I'd think that's good...
Some people are a little too sensitive, I think...

I dont think anyone is meaning to hurt anyone here that might be doing a favor we may not like.
Really if they love it then thats what matters.
Im doing little wine rings inside the name tag crackers and I know that not everyone will like them but i love them.
we are also doing a wine stopper as the give away.
Honestly, I wouldnt care if someone mentioned either of them on here.
I just gave a warning bc ive seen this MANY times where it turns bad, people say ugh how is anyone doing this...hopefully it doesn't happen, but everyone reacts to things differently
Like i mentioned before, ill find use out of a favor...for example you mentioned wine stoppers, i don't drink wine so i would just give it to somebody who does, like my MOH lol
yeah these things get outta hand sometimes but people have to stop being so touchy! we are here to help other brides and give our opinions...if someone doesnt like it then dont reply or dont post lol simple as that! if i dont like a post i just dont reply usually! lol
i really don't care, i know nobody will say mine bc i haven't seen 1 person mention it as a favor and its one thing i am keeping a secret and if they did i really wouldn't care. Its not that I dont like it but just said i see how these things have turned out in the past. I didn't say anything bad about any favors so i really don't give a sh*t bc drama starts im not involved. So you know what, it can happen for all i care

i see u'r concern but.. everyone here has been pretty tactful in how they mention their likes and dislikes.. and heck if i had been planning on giving a crystal heart thingy that i thought someone would use and then found out that most people use them to dump ashes.. i'd be happy to know that so i didn't buy that..
as for the mugs..my point i think is like the poster who got the cute keychain but didn't wanna walk around with the bride and grooms names on her keys.... lol. it's not a matter of whether or not u can put it in the microwave.. i just used that to help describe it.. (ipersonally dont drink coffee and rarely drink tea cause it stains u'r teeth and makes ur breath smell) but the point is here is a mug with u'r names on it that unless i'm ur mom, sis, bff, or grandma.. it's just not so useful. unless u smoke.. then i guess u can use it as an ashtray.![]()

i agree with the whole not personalizing thing bc i made sure NOT to do that for my e-party.
Is it wrong that i use something as an ashtray, at least im using it, mostly everyone else just threw it somewhere and never used it or threw it out. I get use out of it lol
Again i honestly dont care about any of this, i just said dont be surprised and thats it. If it were up to me i'd say what i like and don't like, but uhmmm that has happened and people got touchy. Also some ppl can't change their minds about their favors bc they already got them. Again dont really care, not like i was saying OMG how dare ppl say such things.
AND if people shouldn't be so sensitive then why are ppl getting sensitive over my posts

Re: the worst wedding favor..
is there something wrong with you using it as an ashtray.. nope not at all.. doesn't bother me one bit..i dont like cigarettes, think they're gross bt this isn't an indictment on smoking by any means. the fact that folks have stated that they use those favors as ashtrays is actually helpful to those who plan or planned on buyin those things that they may turn out to be ashtrays.. if the folks who are buying those have no problem with it, and the cigarette smoker doesn't have a problem with it.. then it's all good..
as for me,, my favor will NOT be a crystal anything... i've mentioned before that it will be a donation to the american diabetes foundation in memory of my dad.. and i'll prob put something else small with it..

i don' think anyone is getting sensitive over your post.. just expressing that they dont think it's goign to cause any drama strife.. ..unless u consider the strife over whether it's going to cause strife strife..

Hey out of everyone at my table, which i knew them all, i am the ONLY one who didn't throw out my favor...NONE of them used it and either threw it out or just threw it somewhere in the room. I am the only one who even unwrapped it and put it out in my room. At least i can say they didnt waste their money on me with the favor.

Re: the worst wedding favor..
when i smoked i used anything for an ashtray...
I need to jump on the bus..
PS. I thought we cared about other people's opinion on this site., whats the purpose. of it anyway to kill time...while we have a million things to do...NO... why not be honest and give your honest opinion...
GOD FORBID someone doesnt like something you like..is that offending somebody..? NO its reality.....everyone has different taste.
.I think a huge disclaimer needs to be posted: PEOPLE WILL VOICE THIER OPINIONS and if you dont like it leave.
HONESTLY IF IM DOING A FREAKIN PUPPET AS A FAVOR AND PEOPLE SAY WHATTTTTTTTT THE FFFFFFFFF , I WANT TO KNOW...YA KNOW..im glad that people have Ba L Ls to tell me LIsa..that I dont like it because....blah blah and I take that into consideration....
I mean I dont expect people to be mean about it but I respect honestly and thank you to girls who are honest.
Are we hear to make friends and be bull- shizt artists or get our weddings planned...
I think people need to GROW UP

Re: the worst wedding favor..
I think the best wedding favor I ever got was someone who did a donation instead of favors.I plan to do champange glasses with our names and wedding date engraved on them- keep in mind that most of our wedding will be family and I think that they would keep them and use them.
The worst favor I ever got was a thing of bubbles wrapped up with ribbons and tulle.. I thought it was kinda cheezy.

i got a Xmas ornament![]()
me too and im jewish
i actually felt that since there were over a dozen jewish people at the wedding it was kind of insulting as if we didnt' matter
i mean, what were we supposed to do with it???
I am not jewish, but FH is and I agree that x-mas ornaments are not always the best idea. Especially if you know there are jewish people there.
Although I LOVE X-mas ornaments and have an obsession with this.
