There is no 'perfect' hall...

There is no 'perfect' hall...

I am a very indecisive person as it is.
Just whenI find the most perfect place, I find out: I can not make the minimum, or it is too much money, or I have to get married on a Friday or Sunday!
Then they show me the little room for the same price for the larger , prettier room!
I always want to see the 'bigger'room but they never want me to even step inside!
Ugh!!!!
HELP!

How many people are you having? Most places won't give the large room, to a smal lparty. Sometimes if you get married on an off night in the winter, they will lower the minimum.

your should think about you...take into timeing but you can still do a sunday wedding
but its your wedding..else if you cater to everybody else, you are gonna ask what kind of music they like, what they want on the menu... you are gonna pay so much more if you plan it around them

we did and everybody (even though they out of town) stayed to the end...

Re: There is no 'perfect' hall...

I found I couldn't meet the minimum at alot of places either.

A lot of places will let you do an afternoon wedding with a smaller amount of people.

My min is 90 and we are having it in the afternoon.

At first I was disappointed about an afternoon wedding but now I realize if I had it night it would be dark and you wouldnt enjoy all the pretty scenery at the Vineyard

WHat is your price range?

Tall Grass CC will work with you.

Willow Creek is 150 min for an evening wedding but an afternoon wedding it should be less.

No. I liked them ALOT.. but I cant afford or they dontv have the date or they want me to go in the smaller room and i hate that!
I am just very overwhelmed and getting stressed!

Re: There is no 'perfect' hall...

I hear you. We were given the bigger room for a lower minimum. I assume it was because of our wedding date. We are silly people that chose April 1st! It is a Saturday night.

We were ready to book the smaller room at med. manor, but he surprised us. I hope this helps. Good luck!

I had the same problem -we are having a smaller wedding (100-130people) and we wanted a Saturday night. No place that we wanted would have this small of a number and we wanted a place where we were the only wedding. Deseversky IMO was the most amazing place I saw (I saw close to 20 places) AND only has a 100 person min for a Sat night, also they only have 1 wedding a day. The price for this venue is unbeatable for location and beauty. It is absolutely amazing - you should check it out. FM me if you have any questions, there is also a Deseversky thread as well. Good Luck

I'm a Deseversky Bride too, and although I love my place, its not for everyone. Some people hate it!

There is no perfect hall. Even after you book you will realize that. Just try to find something that will meet your requirements and stop worrying so much! You'll find it.

Did you try:
Swan Club
Jerricho Terrace
Chateau Briand
Knights of Columbus in Oceanside
Cresthollow Country Club
Stewart Manor Country Club

Keep looking. . . and good luck!

Re: There is no 'perfect' hall...

what about :

West Sayville Country Club

Patchoughe Manoe

Stuart Manor Country Club?

WE LOVED VM but they are really pricy, SMCC had similar features of what we liked about VM so we are now leaning towards SMCC (we can gat a Sat. in Early Nov!!! ))

good luck, Keep us posted

Re: There is no 'perfect' hall...

honey, no place is EVER perfect!

think about what is MOST important to you. why does it matter if you're in the smaller hall if you don't have enough for the larger?
it's still a beautiful room in a beautiful place.

relax. make a list of your priorities and go from there. your wedding will still be special if it's on a friday or sunday! if people want to be there, they will find a way. i have taken off several days for friends' weddings because they were on fridays and sundays. people WILL do it!
