Ok we went to register at a 2nd place on saturday, we went to crate and barrel...I have to give him credit though bc he picked out alot of the things and they are great and coordinated everything together. BUT he put a $1,000 day bed which is like a couch you put in the living room on our registry. I started cracking up and saying no we dont put furniture on the registry and he questioned me why not lol. He said he doesn't care, this will be an item for either his mom or aunt to buy for him and yes they do spoil him that much. He said obviously ppl aren't gonna feel they have to spend it theyll spend whatever and ppl know big items are usually for the parents, but hes still out of his mind lol.
Most of our items are very fairly priced, its a wide range with MANY MANY MANY things $100 and under and then just a few higher priced items...i did stop him before he put on a whole living room set lol
here is the day bed, he thought it was the most comfortable thing and it actually was.
Oooh I like that day bed. If we put that on our registry, I know one set of parents would get it for us, so I know what your FH is saying.
OH FH is a mama's boy and if he wants that daybed he will get that daybed lol trust me. So i know we will get it lol but i thought he would just ask for it lol...our registry wasnt up until 2:30 this afternoon bc they had to fix a mess up and his mom emailed me this morning to say she cant find our registry and she wanted to look at the daybed FH wanted
is he an only child?? Mine is such a mama's boy too... and i always wonder if it's because he's an only child. She is cool but says i'll be the same with my boy - idk about that!
no hes not an only child, he has a younger brother. You dont even understand how he is, its histerical sometimes...one day i was in his computer room which is straight across from his bedroom and he was in his room with the door open, well his mom walks by and i hear her say 'joe whats wrong, is everything okay?' i hear this and look over like W** hes fine what happened, i see him sitting on the edge of his bed with the puppy dog eyes saying oh nothing, she kept asking and then finally he was like no its just that i wanted to buy this hoodie and hat that i really like but i cant right bc of all my bills but its ok...now i started histerically laughing bc i know he planned the whole thing for when his mom walked by bc first of all he never leaves his door open he gets mad at me when i do it. And of course he got what he wanted if you would've seen him you would've thought he was actually so sad and he does this little boy sad face and after i was like OMG you are horrible

Okay - yours is worse than mine It just boggles my mind that mine is like 33, still lives at home, his mom cooks for him, cleans his room, does his laundry, buys WHATEVER she knows he likes, irons his shirts (which i will likely NEVER do b/c i have no time to iron my own sh1t).
But yeah, that's pretty funny! that would never work for me!

Hey... you never know! We put some more $$$ things on the registry from Crate & Barrel... If people get it for us- great! If not, we know where to go to pick it up ourselves.

oh yeah when it comes to him getting things hes bad lol...with cleaning though he is great i have to say that, he is a neatfreak and cleans his own room, he'll do the laundry alot, only he will fold his own clothes bc it has to be exactly the way he wants it, he does all the recycling and garbage...he'll wash the dishes and all that.

im like 100% positive though that his mom will get it for him but when we go tomorrow to register at fortunoff i think i will do this with certain items just so we can get 10% off later, its a great idea

well see when i look at a registry and see a very expensive item its not like i sit there and think Oh they expect me to spend that much, i know its meant for family members or bp to chip in and get together.

We are doing the same thing....we are putting furniture and like a new bed frame as well. Everything that is on your registry is discounted if its not purchased, so why not put it on there anyways. I figure whatever someone doesn't purchase for me I will go and get it and then get the discount as well. We all need furniture and stuff for our houses once we get married....so scan away!!!
EXACTLY!! My sister (my maid of honor) was saying, hopefully I'll get more $ than presents off the registry...because then I can buy things off the registry at the discounted price and still have $ left over. Good thinking putting furniture on!
