And who am I to say anything, as I don't post that often (or maybe it's because I type too slow)......
But WHY do people spill their guts about every little problem/idiosyncracy/issue/fight they have with their FI on a public message board?!? And then get all pissy when people point that out? Don't these people reread their posts and realize how RIDICULOUS they look?

I love to come on here to get ideas, share good news, quell wedding jitters and get advice, - I really do feel a sense of community on here, but I would NEVER, EVER talk about the issues that FI and I may have (especially if we had fights over and over and over and over). I may FM people I feel close to, but to air the dirty laundry on a public board - NO WAY

Anyone else feel like about 'some' of the repeat offenders?

If this post offends people or if it causes drama, I will delete it - just let me know (FM)

I think some people get too wrapped up in planning a wedding to really look at the relationship behind it. I just think it is kind of sad for them... And I feel bad for their families that may be suffering from their selfishness.

Ahhh I know who this is about, it took me awhile but I figured it out! Lol and I agree as well, i think some people come on here to vent to strangers b/c its a way to get it out without having to worry about the person they are referring to finding out. and hurting them or regretting what they said. but true if you spill it out be prepared for the mess that may follow- like opinions you may not agree with.

If people are going to put their business out there...and then have the NERVE to start drama ...they better expect the mud to fly their way....

Hmm more than one, now Im clueless but thats ok it took me awhile to figure this out, I vent on here on occasion but never about FH , mostly about my FSIL who drives just not me but everyone nuts. sorry if it was me.

it is just a general statement...some people just REALLY let you all in on their personal business...And i guess i too find myself saying WOW...

Some wil post over and over about themselves and what they are doing and yet NEVER really post on anyone elses threads...offering their ear...some advice or just a friggin HUG?
BUT LOVE the responses they get after they post about their personal issues

IMO it is just self-absorbed attention seeking behavior

i am happy that you posted this and even more so that so many people are in agreement. i am SHOCKED at some of the 'dirty laundry' that people feel the need to post about their SO. i would NEVER publicly disrespect my DH the way some do on here. IMO, some things are better left behind closed doors.

I also don't post any personal info about my or FH's life. You just never know who is reading the board. I see the same people complain over and over and over. Sometimes I think to myself 'Does anything positive ever happen for these people?' I can definitely see the occasional vent or asking for help with something. But I have seen things over the last year of being LIW that I wouldn't tell anyone if it happened let alone thousands of people online.

I guess LIW is cheaper then a therapist.

MTV should do a show like real world but with the funest craziest LIW people. I know who I would pick to live in the house. Drama sparks will fly!
