TIME TIME TIME TIME TIME TIME TIME!!!

Why does everything wedding related need sooooo much F*cking time!!!! Wedding dresses need 8-9 months, BM dresses need 4 months, invites need 1 month etc...

I personally think this is incredibly ridiculous! There shouldn't be a 'rush fee' if you're getting your dress 6 mo in advance! 6 months is NOT a rush in normal life, it's actually a VERY long period of time! Ridiculous!

I agree when I finally went dress shopping last week people were shocked I 'waited so long' I'm like I did? I thought 7 months was plenty of time..Apparently not lol

I agree with you especially on the rush fee! We ordered my dress back in June and it came in in Aug/Sep
I'm hoping the girls dresses don't take too long!

when I tried on my dress, the owner of the bridal salon told me that I had to pay $65 in shipping fees for when they ship the dress to me from their store. I told them that was OK.....I'll just pick it up when it's in (I live about 30 min away). She said, 'No, you can't do that. If you want, you can come back and be sure it is a perfect fit, then we will ship it to you after you leave the store'.

Ummmmmm, that makes NO sense at all!!!! Just another way to make a buck in the bridal business!!

I agree!!! The whole time thing is just silly, yet if you order any of the same things for something OTHER than a wedding not only is it cheaper but it arrives a week later!!!!!

I ordered my dress right after labor day and they told me end of march beginning of april, I hope they dont know what they were talking about

I think this whole time issue is crazy because you always here about girls ordering their dresses and they get them in 2 months. It's so frustrating.

I know, everything takes so damn long!! I ordered my wedding dress in February in 06 and it wont be in until March!! That is 11 months!! Ugh!!!

So happy I'm not the only one. I'm going dress shopping on dec 17th and know they're going to give me crap for 'rushing' it to me. If you hear on the news that a bride kicked a salesperson's a**, you'll know it was me!

OMG that's ridiculous! Are they shipping it to you? I'd insists on picking it up to get it faster and to make sure nothing happens to it during shipping! It's not even about the 65, although that's incredibly dumb! Wow. Think outside the box stupid bridal salon people!!!!

I totally agree. How about this... My BM dresses are Jasmine 2004 & discontinued. So, why do I have to wait till March to get them? They're not going to make them specifically for me, so whats the hold up?

I was told to order my dress by 8 months before the wedding.

There's a lot of work that goes into wedding gowns .... and sometimes that work is even done overseas, so they have to account for shipping transit times.

And you want there to be ample time for alterations once the dress comes in ....

IMHO, it isn't that ridiculous ...

I think it's all BS!!! They told me 9 months for my dress it came in 3 months. They told me 6 months for the BM dress and now that they are still not ordered an will be ordered today they tell me they will be here in the middle of Feb. I just ordered my invites yesterday they will be here next week.

They just want your money!!!
