TIMES Square

Just wanted to post that I was informed that TImes Square Orchestra gave my date away after I spoke to them told them I wanted them and I was told by Joe Tucci, I have 1st dibs, no prob will see you at the next showcase, if anyone offers dep. I will call you blahblahblha. I got an email today saying that the date is no longer available. When I called he goes well I waited and I said we just spoke the other day and you said no prob. He told me 'Let me call the other couple'...and say what sorry I have to give your dep. back I'm an *******...

Sorry had to vent, not a good way to conduct business.

just makes me so mad b/c I could have given the dep is necessary. OH well I guess I'm better off anyway. Just wanted to get the word out.

Hi : )

I just booked Times Square for my ceremony and cocktail hour music and I thought they were quite professional and informative. I was told though that they wouldn't hold my date until i left them a deposit. I think most vendors are like that. Hope you find a band that you like!!

Every situation is different. I was told something else, unfortunately he screwed me, but like I said, we're all diff. I assume most vendors want that dep thats why I told him I'd give it, but he said no no prob, whatever, its done. It wasn't meant to be.

Good Luck with your wedding. They obviously are the ones for you if it all worked out!!!

Wow - every dealing I have had with Times Square - and in particular Joe and Maryann has been fab - so sorry to hear it has not worked out for you! Just don't want to see the other Times Square brides get freaked out - and that happens so easily! Hang in there- it WILL work out for you - best of luck!

Sorry to hear you didn't get your date - it seems as if you liked them a lot or this wouldn't have been a big deal to you. We used TSO and have nothing but rave reviews and were very satisified with their professionalism. As with any vendor/business, I can't see you being 'booked' with them unless you give a deposit. I hope everything goes better on from here.

I HAVE HEARD AND HAD NOTHING BUT GOOD DEALINGS WITH TIMES SQUARE. THEY WERE REALLY NICE TO DEAL WITH AND VERY NICE WHEN I SAW THEM AT A WEDDING AT AT A SHOWCASE. I THINK THAT WHEN YOU SEE THE BAND THAT YOU LIKE YOU REALLY HAVE TO MOVE ON IT . I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF SOMEONE HOLDING A DATE UNLESS YOU GIVE A DEPOSIT. MAYBE THERE WAS A MISUNDERSTANDING, BUT I DON'T THINK YOU SHOULD BE BASHING THEM LIKE THAT. MY GIRLFRIEDND USED THEM AND LOVED EVERY MOMENT THEY WORKED TOGETHER. MAYBE IT WAS A CASE OF NOT MOVING FAST ENOUGH. GOOD LUCK IN THE FUTURE WITH YOUR PLANS.

OH, ALSO, FYI, THE REASON THAT I WENT TO SEE THEM AT A SHOWCASE WAS BECAUSE THEY PLAYED AT MY GIRLFRIEND'S WEDDING AT THE ST. REGIS HOTEL OVER THE SUMMER. IF IT MAKES YOU FEEL BETTER I WILL POST MY OPINION ON MY PHOTOGRAPHER AND FLORIST TOO!

When I spoke with them, I was told the same thing about holding my date until I was able to attend the Showcase. They said that since I was the 1st person who called about that date, they would pencil me in until a few days after the Showcase. If, in the meantime, someone else was interested in the date, they would call me so I would have a change to book it first. Even tough it was only a verbal agreement, I would have been very annoyed if I was in your postition.
