So my hairdresser and makeup artist are coming to my house day of to do my bridesmaids and my hair and makeup. Both of them are the sole owners of their business. Do I still still them since they will be keeping all the profits from the day? My hairdresser is who does my hair on a regular basis so I don't want to offend her. Thoughts?

This is a grey area. I think it's always safer to tip. They'll appreciate it and you want be stressed about if they're upset or not. Plus, most bridal hair & makeup work for themselves but still you're supposed to tip

Both my hair and make up vendors are owners of their business as well. I did tip them because I had stupidly forgotten to tip them for my trials. The did a phenomenal job on my entire bridal party and I really thought they more than earned it. But I also agree it's a grey area... It's really up to you.

My MUA owned her business and I tipped her the same as the hair dresser that came and worked for her. They did an amazing job, and I wanted to show that I appreciated their hard work.I feel like that since they're providing you a service, and if you appreciate what they did, you tip them, regardless if they own their own business or not.

Everyone has their own opinions, especially when it comes to the owner of a business. I'm planning to tip everyone, just because I'm deathly afraid of looking cheap. I didn't tip for trials though or our engagement shoot. But they will get tipped on the day-of. It was a hot topic with my dad but, especially with the photographer and videographer.. they have ALL your memories in their hands after the wedding! Treat them nicely lol.

I plan on tipping everyone, even if they own the company.

Like mentioned, everyone has strong opinions about that. I am not planning on tipping unless they will be doing something above and beyond whats already in the contract since all my vendors are owners. I might tip my photographer so that she can do a quicker/better job editing my photos/videos.Welcome New Vendors
