Anyone having a dais at their wedding for the BP? I'm thinking of past weddings that I've been to, and none of them have it. I don't think I will either cause most of my BP have significant others that aren't in the wedding, so I think it would be awkward for them not to sit together at dinner.

Re: To dais or not to dais?
Were just doing a sweetheart table bc our BP has their significant others this way they can all sit together.

We're doing a Sweetheart Table. I'd rather have a little alone time with FH to talk and enjoy the night.

No dais for the BP. That seemed super 80's to me. We did the sweetheart table only.

Re: To dais or not to dais?
We did the sweetheart table and had our BP scattered to sit with the group of friends/family they were a part of.
I went to a wedding with a dais. I ended up leaving DH home because he didn't really know anyone and I didn't want him to sit by himself and be bored.
For us at our wedding was a little more complicated. One of my bridesmaids was a complete b*tch and did nothing but complain about people she didn't like in the bridal party so we couldn't sit them together. It ended up working out for the best (and I don't speak to that bridesmaid anymore) and everyone was happy with their seats.

I'm not a fan of the dais. I don't really see the point. First of all, I want to have those moments alone with FH, and secondly I think those people will have a much better time sitting with their SO's. You could do a regular round BP table where they all sit at one table but with their SO's. I think that's what I might do.

i am not doing the BP dais- as a guest at a wedding where my FH was in the BP i was stuck at a table where i didn't know people and it ******... plus i believe the attention should be on FH and I so we are doign a sweetheart table
