Maybe you should ask your father first whether or not it has all blown over. You can always tell if a parent is lying or not... If it has then go on and invite your uncle...
If not then the decision is that much harder.. On one hand he's ur uncle but if he's going to add anymore unneccesary stress as it is then sweety, let it be... It's your wedding. You invite who you want to invite but also be aware that by inviting his family it will stir up more tension then what's already there... Especially if someone in his family writes me + 1 and that +1 turns out to be him... WOOOWEEEE... would that be bad.. It can also turn out that he finds out what's going on and decides to see if he can convince his family of not going.
This is something that you need to sit down with your father and discuss and then take it from there...

I would ask your father, or you could just invite him and hope he doesnt come. It might be awkward for his chiidren(your cousins), and they might be hurt by it if you do not invite there parents.
However this is completely your decision, if you do not want someone at you wedding or you dont want your dad to feel uncomfortable then you dont have to invite anyone you dont want to!

This is the type of situation where if you don't invite him, you may never salvage a relationship from this person again and he is still your uncle. Just something to think about.

This is definitely a tough decision. If your father said to invite him but you still don't want to, I would take some time to think about it. If you don't invite him, the last thing you want is him showing up anyway and causing drama.

this is a toughie. i feel like anything i say its going to be easier said than done. Maybe your wedding will be the perect chance for everyone to be together again and let by gones be bygones. its your wedding day though and your family. you know the situation. if its going to cause drama and upset you, do what you feel is best and not invite him. does your dad truly want you to invite him, or is he just saying that to be easy? either way. good luck.

How stupid is this grown man...the thing is....He used to be my favorite....Im really hurt over this...
Im sorry but anyone who hurts my immediate family.....is cut off. Only thing is I'll have to see him at family functions.

Honestly, I have a bit of a similar situation, not to get too much into it, we don't speak to my fathers 2 sisters, and they are not being invited, we haven't spoken in over 7 years though.
As much as you don't want to invite him, I think you should do what your father wants! I know how you feel, but, you can't always do what you want in these situations, sometimes you have to sacrifice what you want to keep peace, or make your parents happy. A few years down the road, you may be speaking again, or, you may not, but, either way, you will know that you were the bigger person!
(This is just my opinion, hope it helps!)

I would discuss this with your father. If he is cool with it then that is fine. You don't want to make more problems and stress for him. I have a similar situation with my moms cousin.

i agree... let your dad make that decision, this way if he says no, you are okay with that, and if he says yes, fine, maybe it will be a way for them to make a mends!
