I havent been to any, but I did recieve some books from them and all the places in which they have locations and it looks so pretty. I was thinking about doing my honeymoon in one of their locations so if anyone has opinions i too would love to hear.the pics in their brochure are wonderful. makes it look so appealing.... well i suppose thats the point.

Sandals definitely does look beautiful. It's supposed to be one of the best all inclusives. Try doing a search on the boards, I've seen a few girls post great reviews on Sandals.

FH wants to go to Sandals - they recently sent us a package of books with info on all the resorts. each one looks amazing! Personally, I've heard mixed reviews.

We had the lowest level of the rooms that come with concierge service, and didn't feel like we were lacking anything more than that.
I do recommend the concierge, we were treated wonderfully!

Thanks@ I just looked at your review...and your wedding was so beautifully done, with all the detail! Do you still act as a vendor on this site - doing invites, programs etc? I loved your seating chart!

I totally think it's worth trying... everyone goes on vacation with different expectations. The best thing to do is see for yourself. Even top rated hotels have those downers who think everything was terrible. And who knows, maybe when they were there, it was.

I've heard a lot of mixed reviews also. some good, some bad - I ended up choosing a different all inclusive. I guess the bad reviews were enough to make me book else where. But you have to keep in mind that people have different standards. For me personally, I didn't think I could get over some of the not so great reviews, ya know. But, it is your honeymoon!!! You will have an amazing time no matter where you go!!!! You will hear good and bad about everywhere. But you have to be comfortable with both being true (advice from my mom, lol).

ive heard mixed reviews about them, but they are pricey....i would say do research on other all inclusives on the island you want to go to, just make sure they are 5 star and they will be cheaper then Sandals resorts

I agree, we had the same type of room in Sandals Grande Antigua and it was perfect! Its at the end of my 5/16/08 review! We loved it there!

ive heard mixed things about these resorts as well. specifically regarding the food/resorts not being updated. etc..not to say that is the end all be all of course.
id say your best bet is to read a bunch of reviews on trip advisor for each resort you are looking intofor a totally comprehensive opinion...
ive planned so many trips thru that site & the unbiased reviews have yet to steer me wrong.

I think there are people that have criticism or complaints wherever you go. Everyone has different priorities and expectations.
I've been to both Sandals and other all-inclusives. It's not the Ritz-Carlton, but personally I'm not into that stuff. I don't know that any food at an all inclusive is spectacular. Iberostar is a very good chain in Dominican Republic and is located on a variety of islands. Riu is also another good one. If you are looking for children-free, I've heard Couples and Secrets are also great all inclusives.
