I hear you can sometimes get a better deal with FSBO but the whole process would make me a bit nervous too. Glad it's all working out

ETA: Since it is a FSBO, do you have to come up with your realtor's commission? How else does he/she get paid?

MOST times the seller will split the 2.5% with you...but as I said this guy was quite a character...and he said he listed it so low so he wouldn't have to pay anyone...well...we decided even with her fees - it was still a steal!!

the seller should like having a RE agent involved...b/c they know the law and will protect the seller to an extent

tomorrow morning at 9AM!!!! the guy countered us with a short escrow...which we didn't care about...so it looks like we will be in by mid March!!!

Point A to Point B we are 1 mile from the water...but since there are so many hills to drive around...its probably a little more..

and we are a bit more north than the village part...but <3 miles driving distance to the village
