i went for my fourth fitting today... and after three hours of arguing and lots of tears.... everyone (including the owner) agreed that they are going to have to order me a new dress... and my wedding is next sunday

thank you for all your replies... i am pretty much burned out, my brain wont even work right anymore... i'm kinda of having post traumatic shock right now... i guess when they come back from memorial day weekend i will got back to the store and see what they can do about giving me one off the rack...


i have learned a very valuable life lesson though... it is better to keep your money in your pocket and spend it on things that really matter in life... not superficial things like dresses and expensive catering halls and overpriced honeymoons.... i feel like i spent an arm and a leg on vendors that were way overated... this dumb dress was a ton of money and it is not even wearable... i have seen beautiful brides in less expensive dresses... i guess beauty really does radiate from within


Awe I am so ready to cry for you. This seems to happen all the time !!! I have yet to figure out why... They new from your first fitting about the fabric on the inside of the dress and should have said and done something about it then. I hope they are able to get you something nice off the wrack there after all the money you have spent.

You will be a beautiful bride NO MATTER WHAT YOU WEAR.... IT S YOU THAT MAKES THE DRESS THE DRESS DOESN'T MAKE YOU REMEMBER THAT!!... He will LOVE YOU AND CHERISH you even if you had a sack on !!! That's whats really important for us all to remember in all the craziness of wedding planning. If you need help in picking a new dress or anything you can FM me.....

OMG.. I'm so sorry you're going through this.. IT WILL WORK OUT - and you WILL be a BEAUTIFUL bride next Sunday... in a BEAUTIFUL dress!!! I know that seems impossible right now, but think about it... where there's a will, there's a way... and with all the dresses in this world - and your bridal shop's admission that they messed up, they have to do right by you - and bend over backwards doing so.

I wish you the best... and you will be a GORGEOUS bride... inside and out! BUT NO MORE CRYING!!! THINK POSITIVE!!!

This may be a stupid question, but what do you mean by puckering????? Do you mean when the material doesnt lay flat in the bodice??? If so, i am in trouble. I thought the material lays flat after they iron it.

OMG, I am so sorry to hear that. I do agree with some of the other girls are saying by buying a off the rack dress just incase the dress doesn't come in on time.

I am so sorry this is happening!!!

I would ask for a full refund and get another dress off the rack, maybe even dare I say it, check out David's Bridal. Because they should not be doing this to you at all, and even if they get the dress in on Tuesday, there's no guarantee they can alter it in time....I would be very nervous!

Get a back up dress now....you deserve to have a beautiful gown no matter what. But do remember this: Even if you don't have the gown of your dreams, it will not make you any less married on your wedding day or mean you will be any less beautiful!!!

That is just horrible! They should go out of their way to make sure everything is done correctly..and give you a HUGE discount, or at this point give you the dress for FREE!! I'm so sorry that you are going through this..but I'm sure things will work out fine!!

Let us know how it goes.

Lots of bride can refer off the rack store. My bridal store has a huge selection of off the rack dresses.

So, you can always have a back up plan.

Don't worry! You will have a beautiful dress regardless.
