Update: I also had 8 cc opened BUT those are cleared (so i was told) The orders are in England. Go figure. So they can't be charged for grand larsany...(however you spell it) As of now I am keeping cool. Thank you for the prayers, I think they gave me strength today (Although i was yelled at by a police officier for crying and he said 'how do i know your not the one making these purchases'..) Oh well...

So, I get online and see that my bank account is cleared. Yes, cleared. Someone used my debit card number on 42 large transactions (and I am talking like, 2,000-10,000 dollars.
I called and cancelled the account but I was told 100 different things and now find out I may not get my money back because I was not enrolled in a 'Identity theft program' through my bank. Are you serious?
So, I now have not a dollar to my name until my next paycheck and fh and I unless I get my money back, will not have the money for a wedding for next year...
Oh and did I mention now I may have to cancel traveling to WDW because I refuse to borrow money?
So please, just keep my in your prayers tonight because I really need strength ...

that is TERRIBLE! i would call that bank and get a manager on the phone - how could they let that many transactions go thru without having some type of red flag go up - oh i hope and pray for you that all works out - people can be so terrible sometimes

this just happened to a friend of mine...
someone withdrew her bank acount basically.
and it was done overseas because the amounts withdrawn, were not in multiples of $20.
and what sux is she has direct deposit.. so she is trying ot cancel it while this gets investigated, but she has to wait another pay period.
so we are just waiting for them to take her paycheck again.. in the mean time.
it sux and it is scary.

And th ebest part is, they set up a pay pal account...so even when I cancelled the account the transactions were still comming through...and the lady goes 'Well you will be charged a 45 insufficient fund fee for every one so you'll probably want to dispute that too'

Don't worry, i understand...its tough to use the backbone,...it so is...but you need to stand up for yourself..this is absolutely unacceptable...stay strong and seriously, if you want me to b!tch them out I will!
