Totally those pashmina scarves are beautiful and they can use them to keep warm if needed. I am having a november wedding and I am seriously considering a tea length dress...if its what you want then you'll be happy and they'll be happy that you are happy. Besides, a tea length dress is way easy to use again for something else!

Honestly, I dont think its really all that cold at the beginning/middle of october. Your girls should be fine. You can always get them shalls to wear over just in case. Unless you're having an outdoor wedding and CH they should be fine in tea length/strapless.

they should be fine.. its not too too cold in oct.. and you wont be outside very long

i'm getting married 10-10-09 and my girls will also be tea-length and probably strapless and i have to agree the pashmina idea is great !!

Id give them long dresses if its going to be cold. you dont want them tryin to stay warm messing up your pics. but if you really want tea length i say you do it, theyll suck it up for you.

i agree -- and i also agree with the ladies who suggested pashminas! i love pashminas, and i love the way they look in pictures --- would have done it myself but would be a bit odd for an august wedding

You can get them something to cover up but I was married last February and we all took pics outside without cover ups. It wasnt bad at all.

They'll be fine - it most likely won't be that cold in October. I got married in November (it was about 40 degrees) and we took pictures outside for an hour and a half. I got them pashminas and they were ok, cold, but they were troopers - imo I'd rather be cold than hot!!

I don't think it'll be too bad... it's not like you'll be outside ALL day or anything and usually it's still pretty nice weather up until around Halloween!!

And, if it's freezing, too bad they'll live haha

I did the same thing and my wedding is on January 18th. The only time they will be outside is to go to the church and RH. When they're inside there will be heat, so it's really not an issue.

if they have pashminas to use while not getting their pic taken, they should be just fine.

are you taking all the pictures outside?? Cause if not I wouldn't worry about it. I'm getting married 2 days after Christmas and my girls (including myself) are all wearing floor length gowns, which happen to be tube tops. They can suck it up though, because we're only gonna be outside for moments - passing from house to limo, limo to church, etc. And they can wear coats on that short journey if they want, i might

If you're actually taking pictures for a large chunk of time outside, then i'd consider some kind of 'covering' at least when a picture is NOT being taken. They can always take it off last minute, then put it back on. Ya see what I'm saying?
