OMG I can't believe this conversation escalated to all of these pages!

I could escalate this conversation to about 10 pages more if I kept on posting all of my issues!

I could've answered each post but didn't want to get out of hand lol. I figured the ones i did post basically said what needed to be said. This is all my conversations have been about lately so im full of info and things to say lol

Everytime I responded to one there were 5 new ones! Hard to keep track.

Maybe we can just start a new ongoing topic called 'Dear Denise' and you can answer all of our questions

i think its something that alot of people dont usually talk about so to see others talking about it and being open they just feel great to get out their feelings.

LOL theres more informed people on this topic. You can start a 'dear mimacat' thread since you started this thread and got everyone else to open up. I mostly know about one thing and nobody seems to have it on here, well someone might i don't know but it hasn't been brought up. Anxiety is a part of it though. I always FM people when I see them bring up certain things that I think really relate. I have to see someone go through it all the time and know how hard it can be and things ive seen that do help. When it comes to this topic im very sympathetic and my heart goes out to them because its something thats so close to my heart.

I never expected such a reaction! I was just feeling really sad. Its nice to know that I'm not alone. I have no expertise to share though!

i have no choice but to learn about all of this...If i didn't then i wouldn't even know how to handle a situation or even know why certain things were happening or what was going on with the person and first i have to really fully know about it. Plus just being with someone who goes through these things you learn about medications, hearing about what they're taking, doing, going through. I would give anything if it was something he didn't have to deal with, for him though. To have no expertise on this would mean he didn't go through what he did, so it would be a good thing

Your FH is quite lucky to have someone who is as compassionate and understanding as you! And you are quite lucky to have someone who is so open and honest and trusting of you! Congratulations on finding each other!

Not knowing what you're FH deals with, I just wanted to say that my anxiety is the result of something else that's going on as well. It's more of a symptom than it's own disorder with me, but most people don't understand or relate to the other stuff.

Thank you so very much, that was real kind of you to say. He doesn't understand that alot of his great qualities are a result of what he has to deal with...I believe it made him more sensitive, compassionate among many other things. Some people just also need to remember to see the good in themselves and not just focus on the bad.

I totally feel like I have no friends....my mom was asking me who I'd invite to the shower and who would come and I seriously think it's gonna be one...how sad is that? I think I only have about 13 people or couples to invite to the wedding...

Me too! And I definately know how you feel... I'm so busy with school and work, and then add my anxiety to that and I feel like I never get to see my friends or like I don't even have any anymore! You're not alone at all!

Exactly, anxiety is just one of the symptoms of the disorder theres ALOT more that go with it. I am so sorry you have to deal with the things you deal with. I always tell FH that although he hates it theres also so many great things he was blessed with in his life and things to be thankful for. I know it doesn't take away alot of what you go through but you do have a great FH who loves you and someone to spend the rest of your life with, family and friends even when they drive us crazy they're still there for us and thats something alot of people don't have.

Wow...thank all of you for speaking my thoughts for me!!

I am amazed at how many of us are going through the same thing!

I feel sometimes my anxiety is taking over my life. I try to get over it, but deceiding where to take the next step alone brings on another anxiety attack.

I am so depressed and feel so alone, so many days. Recently its gotten really bad. I don't get out of bed until 4PM!!! I know I'll snap out of it eventually, because I've been here before, but at this time..it feels like it'll never end!

I feel myself pushing away from friends, family and my FH...I hate it..and I know I'm doing it..but for some reason I can't stop it. It's almost like making plans and keeping them is too much work...I always back out after making plans because this stupid fear comes over me..its extremely frustrating! I really don't understand it, because just a few years ago..It was completely rare to find me home/alone..I don't even know how it got to this point...

I don't want to be all preachy, but if any of you are familiar with Joel Osteen, or are interested in reading up on positive thinking techniques, I highly recomment his book. I watch his shows sometimes on Sundays if I remember..and I was watching last night and it really put me in a good/positive mood. I remembered my FH bought me his book last year for Christmas so I dug it out and I started reading it today...37 pages later and I feel a little light starting to shine through!

I would love for some of you girls to FM me or IM me about this...knowing I'm not the only one really helps!

Thank you everyone for your kinds words of encouragement. One day i will bring this up to my doc... i swear

That flashcard idea is hilarious, sometimes I wish I could just carry around a notepad and write notes to people.

Luckily I dont have the IBS, but my sister does very badly.. Poor thing. I feel for anyone with that.

it sounds like it is more than just anxiety. ALot of the things you said remind me of something else. To help get more info i read a site that a guy did, he blogs all the time about what he goes through and what its really all about. Alot of what you said reminded me of things he said. I am going to FM you the site and see if you relate to alot of the other things. Once you realize what it is causing it, then you can get help and get your life back on track
