i totally know how you feel! i always had lots of friends and never had a hard time making new ones...in high school, the majority of whom i eventually lost touch with ...then in college (i went through 2 groups of friends)..i always thought we would stay in touch after graduation and now i dont talk to any of them anymore! i have tried to get back in touch with ppl. but nothing ever came of it.....so now i am living back on Long Island where i grew up, and really only have 2 close friends (one who lives 5 hours away) i have friends and acquiantances from work but none are from LI and some already have their own families so we rarely get together. thank god i have my 2 sisters close by! I am very happy right now, but i do but there are definately times when i wish i could go back to when i always had people to call or hang out with.

It makes me feel even worse during the wedding planning process....i feel like this whole wedding forces me to remind myself how few close friends i actually have.

Awwe I have 6 girls in my BP, however 2 of them are sisters, one a cousin, another is FH sister and 2 of my friends.. which happen to be the ONLY 2 friends I have to invite to the wedding...

FH put us on his own freaky deaky version of Atkins or South Beach... all I know is that I haven't had bread or pasta in a month and a half... but I lost almost 20 pounds... so I guess it's worth it, atleast until after the wedding... hahahaha(evil laugh)

I have 9 and ya know i wish I only had 2 or 3. I used to have tons of friends that I was going to invite to my wedding and then I literally lost all of them quickly but one.My anchor lifeline. (long story) Its too late for re connecting with the old and its very hard to make new. Most people are too busy for new people in their lives as they get older and start families. Im so glad that I read this thread it hits home for me. FH doesnt understand why I can cry at a tv show, a commercial or because someone else does. It sometimes happens for reasons unknown to me too. I get start laughing and then in a second Im crying. I dont know if its hormonal or what but I know i was never like this before.
