I'm so glad I posted this topic. At first I felt like a pathetic whiner, but I actually feel better knowing that I'm not insane and that you guys all go through the same things. Really, it is a comfort. The first thing I did when I came back from Vegas was come on here and check on how things were. Its only been a few months, but I've really grown to be curious and concerned for all of you girls, how your lives and weddings are going, etc. Its probably the ONLY thing that keeps me from really just breaking down. Its really hard to admit that youre not 100% happy when you've always been the 'funny girl'

I totally understand! My cats just don't laugh at my jokes, and its so sad not to have that outlet! Thank god some of you girls on here find me amusing, b/c I really felt like that was a whole part of my identity that I was losing, b/c I just had no one to be funny WITH besides FH, and believe me, soemtimes even HE doesnt get my random humor

I just talked to FH last night about how he doesn't LAUGH at me....he giggles/chuckles but never like belly laughs...I am funny...I've always been funny...he needs to laugh at me more or I'll have a breakdown...I offered to pay him to laugh at me....

i think u are hysterical heather!! and my FH thinks my jokes are old too now..but then again he has no sense of humor.. what he thinks is funny i think makes no sense and sometimes he is the only one that doesn't find me funny.. all my friends think i'm funny.. how does he not find me funny? why am i marrying him again? lmaooo

that's for sure.

when i'm having an anxiety attack, and not just having some anxiety... my pulse races, my palms get sweaty, i sort of get tunnel vision and my hearing gets wierd, i shake and feel like i'm going to die.

when i'm just feeling anxious about 'nothing' it's the way a lot of my friends explain feeling right before a major test in school, or about speaking in public for the first time.

it's funny b/c i'm an actress, and can get on stage and be totally 'cool' it's being myself that gives me anxiety.

Me too!!! Doing a show or singing people always ask 'arent you nervous/anxious' but its the one thing that DOESNT stress me out. Friggin deciding whether or not to wear my sunglasses in the car stresses me out more.

believe me, if you ever had an anxiety or panic attack, you would know. You heart races, you get dizzy, you sweat, you can't focus your mind. It truely is like you are dying. Thank god I haven't had a full blown one in a while but I am on a low dosage of effexor, I think it is just a placebo at this point. But my fh is so good when I feel it, he really knows how to calm me down and doesn't make me feel weak for feeling that way. It can be very embaressing around people who do not understand it

omg exactly!!!!! it's so weird cause i've never really heard anyone else explain an attack other than a doctor. It's nice to know that you aren't alone. FH has a hard time understanding it. The first time i had a full blown attack while i was staying at his house i freaked..cause i didn't know how he would react..it can def. be embarrassing!! But he was really good about it.. he hadda be at work at 6am.. and it was 2 in the morning.. and before he lived with me in bklyn he was out on the island.. he got up and drove me home so i wouldn't be alone at his house while he was at work. It made me feel good that he didn't run screaming for the door!!!!!

can u get that like once in a blue moon? lol sorry for the weird questions but i passed out once for no reason and its almost happened several other times when i was out...and thats kinda how it feels...i remember all of a sudden getting very hot and dizzy..then i start to black out...ive been able to stop it a bunch of times (if i can sit and relax for a minute i can get the feeling to pass then i just go home and feel fine) but ive also had the same feeling and have actually passed out in the middle of a place before (lol im trying to self diagnosis myself haha)
