we were the first party to be held at Vetro - we had our eparty there in november and it was absolutely amazing. The food was DELICIOUS and it just kept coming out 24/7........we got so many compliments and we were thrilled with it.
Originally we wanted to get married at Russos but with the church being on LI, it didn't work. That is why we chose to have the eparty there!! AND its all brand new and so nicely decorated!!!!

i was just going to ask you if you had sen Vetro - has the reputation of Russo's but is a smaller Venue. Hope it works out!

ETA: Everything's ok. WE just thought I'd have a real, salaried job by now and my dad is just now going back tow ork after a year of unemployment, so we're realizing our numbers may not be doable.
Problem is it's a Saturday night and I don't want to change that. Everywhere we looked had a ridiculous guarantee for a Sat night in Sept.
UPDATE: It's looking like we're going to switch to Vetro and cut our party down from 150 to a max of 100, hopefully fewer. I'm waiting for my BM to call me back so I can ask some questions and make an appointment to see the Murano room.
Thanks ladies for jumping at the first sign of despair to help me out, I appreciate it and I appreciate the concerned FM's I got. It's really nice to know that the support is always waiting in the wings.
I herd vetro is beautiful , my FH's family has gone there a few times. and the food is just as good as Russo's . Good luck!

I'm so happy things worked out with Vetro. The pics of the rooftop are amazing. You made an excellent decision to change venues. Last week, me and FH already decided to cut out the shrimp and raw oysters. Our guests can just go to PathMark and buy it themselves!!!

I have to tell you, FH and I tried to book everything on the moderate end, and this wedding is still going to cost us close to $50K so just make sure that you're not changing a hall that you love to compromise for one of the vendors.
