Travel to Church
Hi everyone.. I've been reading the boards for a while (especially the thatched cottage topics
), but finally decided to join because I have a question... I've been hesitant to get ready at my parents house because it's one short block away from the church. Are we supposed to get in a limo/car and have it circle around the block? Seems kinda silly to me. Or if it's a nice day, should we walk? Also seems silly, but might look cool in pictures
what would you girls do?

I'm getting ready at my parents' house, which is probably about a mile and a half from the church. We are having the limo pick up FH & the boys, drop them off, then pick us up.I think it would look really cute to walk - but I would have a back-up plan in case it rains or is cold!
Nice to see another Thatched Cottage bride :) There aren't too many of us on here for 2013 (but I have seen a ton for 2014!)

Also remember that it may still be hot in the beginning of September!

I definitely wouldn't get ready somewhere farther simply bc you think you are too close. It will prolly ghetto you save money on a limo!

so cute, i would walk and take photos along the way. but yes, have a back up plan in case it rains. im a little on the 'no frills' side, so i say have a parent or a bridal party member drive. seems so silly to pay for a pick up.

I'm three blocks away from my church and we're still taking the limo. Walking is a really cute idea, but you shouldn't bank on it because you never know what the weather will be like. We're using Camelot and they charged based on the amount of time we used the cars, not the distance, so at least they didn't have to come an hour early to get us! Good luck!

Thanks everyone! We'll have the limo anyway for the guys to get to church and then to RH, so it would be on stand by.
