Trunk show question
Alvina Valenta is having a trunk show May 8-10 at Village Bridal for the Spring 2009 collection. From what I read you can get a discount of 10-15% at trunk shows? Would this only apply if you buy a dress from the Spring '09 collection or can you get a discount if you buy from older collections as well?

Re: Trunk show question
I don't know if it varies by designer, but I purchased a dress from an older collection at a trunk show and still got the discount.

Re: Trunk show question
i don't think it matters from what collection you buy it from, as long as it is a dress from the designer of the featured trunk show (i.e. if your going to an Alvina trunk show you have to buy an Alvina dress to get the discount).

Re: Trunk show question
I love her dresses but I didnt even go try one on because I knew it was out of my price range. I ended up buying an Alfred Angelo at one of their trunk shows at Fantasia Bridal. I did get the discount on an older design, BUT you had to order it that day and pay in full to get the discount. HTH

Re: Trunk show question
Thanks. I was hoping to spend no more than $2,000 on a dress.

Re: Trunk show question
I went to a Lazaro trunk shoe and they were offering a 12.5% discount on the dresses - any one of them from his collection. The discount applied to veils and accessories as well.BUT you did have to purchase it that day. They didn't charge me the full price - just took a 50% deposit.

Re: Trunk show question
I went to a Demetrios trunk show and got 15% off my dress. They also let me pop a balloon lol and inside the balloon was a 15% coupon which I was able to use in my veil and tiara. I only had to leave a deposit to lock in the discount for all three
