Re: Try on your ring
I’ve actually never had anyone ask, lol. Don’t know what I would do in the situation though…I would probably be nervous that the ring would get stuck on their finger!

Re: Try on your ring
I only actually heard this superstition recently. I've tried on about 2 or 3 friends engagement rings. So far no bad luck for them! No one has asked me though! I'm not sure what I would say after hearing about this bad luck!! lol...

Re: Try on your ring
no one's aver asked me but I would let them...
Kind of like my car, when someone else is driving it and I'm not in and I see them - I'm like, 'wow, that's a hot little car.'
With my ring, I'd like to see it on someone else just so I could stare at it from a diff angle...
edit for sp

Re: Try on your ring
Depends who it is. Close friends (my BMs), we have tried on each other's rings. Doesn't bother me. But strangers, no.

Re: Try on your ring
haa my twin sister likes to steal it from me ... so do my friends but I am reluctant to let them ... im not afraid of 'bad luck' rather is getting dropped, lost, damaged it!
ever see the commercial where the guy is about to propse and he drops the ring in the sink then the girlfriend comes in and turns on the garbage disposal? yah, that what I think of when people are handling it

Re: Try on your ring
NO- WAY my ring was bought for my finger only, and yes it's bad luck, i would never ever let anyone try it on.

It depends on who it is. but it doesn't fit anyone, not even my mom and she has tiny fingers. I don't believe in superstitions.

Re: Try on your ring
I don't believe in letting other people try my ring on. When my FH and I first got engaged, one of my neightbors rudely took it off my finger when I was showing her my hand! I know it sounds strange and superstitious, but I don't want anyone else's energy, negative or positive, on my ring but my own.

Re: Try on your ring
I have had a 2 or 3 of my close friends ask and I didn't have a problem with it.....but we were also at my apartment and it was just to try it on! I wouldn't let just anyone try it on.

Re: Try on your ring
I did in the beginning, but I don't really like to take it off anymore.... I'm so paranoid that something is going to happen to it!!!

I let people try it on all the time, I'm not highly superstitious

Re: Try on your ring
I don't see a problem with it. Bad luck, please, what's going to happen, is just going to happen, bad luck or good luck is just in the mind. IMO
