Also post your review of North Ritz..I am getting married there in a month and do not personally know anyone who got married their or even went to a wedding there! let me know what to look out for!

I went to a wedding at the Swan club last sept and I didn't care for it. Everyone felt like they were rushing the coures and I thought there food was okay. Also they had a few weddings going on at the time and no one was giving directions.. we came so close to walking into the wrong wedding thank god we didn't see our name on the table and got wise that we didn't reconize anyone. they just seemed not very organized. I was glad we didn't pick them after we went to this wedding.

Jericho terrace was out of our price range but i thought it was very nice. The Rivera was nice but I thought it was a little too dark inside and we didn't like the way the seating was. I also picked North Ritz because of the only one wedding and it is beautiful and the price was right.

MissLinda, If you are having 200-250 people, then the Manor East can accomandate you. We are going to have about 200-225 people and we will have plenty of room. I would look into it and check out their website.

MissLinda,

I was a Manor East Bride as well, and The Grand Ballroom can handle that many people with no problem. Yes they do have the capacity to have more than one wedding at a time, but each room has their own seperate entrance way and kitchen. Their prices are reasonable and the food is plentiful. All of those choices are great. Don't settle until you know for sure. You have so much time - consider everything when choosing - food, ambiance, style, etc. Good Luck with your search!

We just booked John Anthony's on the water. Reasonable price for LOTS of food and some great extras!! I've asked around and know a lot of people who have been married there and been to parties there...all GREAT things were said! Good luck

well I have been looking for a while and we decided the North Ritz Club We just booked it this passed weekend. We fell in love with it!!!!!!! You might want to take a look at it It has nice gardens and you are the only party there. We felt that was very important.

Well we decided on the Crest Hollow and signed the contract 2 nights ago. Both families are happy with it. I'm so glad it's out of the way! Now I have to start looking into planning everything else!! AAAAAHHH!

I am a CH bride too... only about 1 month to go. I am choosing my menu tomorrow. I will report back as to how it goes.

Sorry to put another wrench in the works - have you considered Bridgeview Yacht Club in Island Park? They have a 150 minimum, and a 400 max,a d we have 220 - 250. They are right on the water.
I'm a bit biased because we are using it

I would not put anyone in a room without air conditioning. Think about it a hot July day no air conditioning and being dressed up? They are all nice choices. Did you try Scotto Brothers places?

Thanks Linda! Yeah, July 4th 2004. It falls on a Sunday, so everyone will have off on Monday. It works out great, being that 1/2 the people are coming in from out of town. Did your bf get married on the actual 4th this year? If so, any problems with it being a holiday? ie; church being open, salons for hair/nails, dj's being booked, etc.
Any info would be great!

She got married on the 4th which was a Thursday this year. She had the ceromony at the hall. I would book things as quick as possible because I've heard some places are already booked for July 4 2005!

She was a hair dresser so she had her friends come in and do our hair, so I can't help you with that. Send out 'save the date' cards early so people can make arrangements early. She did EVERYTHING in red white and blue even her shoes. . .2girls in red (MOHs) . . 2 girls in blue(BM). .It came together really nice (I was scared for a little while )
